Daniel, paused and said, "Are you certain?"

"Absolutely Sir.  Mr Lieng asked us to not only follow them but undertake some additional investigations."

"I really should have done this months ago."

"I do not think that it would have made a difference Sir.  Mr Lieng tasked us five months ago to look into the family that raised Miss Meng and we found that other than the teacher who believed she had the ability to become someone amazing, no one in the village was willing to talk about the family to strangers.  Not unusual for country villages, because they have a sense of protecting their own.  But when we went back yesterday, things had changed."

"I read what is in your report, but I am guessing that this is only part of the story."

"Correct sir.  While this is nothing like the corporate investigations that Mr Lieng has us do for you and the company…"

"Hence why I am paying you privately for your work."
