"W – what do you mean…?". I asked in disbelief.

"Well, not really gone, 'gone'…" Ebony obviously does not know how to say it. "He, um, wanted to 'get away' for the meantime…".

"Get away…? I don't understand." Why would he leave? He just saved my life didn't he…? No, he can't just do that. There must be a reason. I then noticed how sad Ebony it.

"Jenny… You lost a lot of blood. Noel said that you were being attacked by wild wolves when he found you. Though he found a way to save you, he did gain deep wounds because of it." No… That's only half-truth. "He came back bloodied and wounded, with you in his arms, unconscious. Mr. Kyle rushed both of you here in the hospital." So, he is the one who carried me.
