บท 20: Chapter 19
Well, it seems he had misjudged the kid. He had thought he would just ask for a deal for some materials for his magician friend but it seemed like the young descendant of Donkey Jaw Bone had far more grand ideas.
"Hmmm, that depends. How much do you know about Vritra type Sacred Gears?" He said, wondering how he would respond.
"I don't know all of their abilities but there should be at least four of them with each having a portion of the former Dragon King Vritra's soul inside them. Each with one of the many abilities developed by the Prison Dragon King." Well, about as much as he had thought he would know.
He was kinda surprised he knew of their number though, guess the kid was smarter than his ancestor. Not that such a thing was a huge deal considering that original Samson hadn't been that bright. Far too confident in his physical might.
"You are right, there are four of them and each one of them posses one of Vritra's abilities. Dear old dad must have had lots of fun when he ended up getting his shiny hands on Vritra's soul." Azazel said melancholically. His feelings towards his dad might be somewhat complicated and he might have had quite a bit of fun researching the 'bugs' that started to appear after his death but he still kinda wished that the old judgmental prick was still alive.
"Why are you asking, are you interested in them?"
"What would you do if I said that I have Absorption Line." Say what?
"You mean, you possess the Absorption Line?" He didn't feel like he had a Sacred Gear though. Dragon types tended to give off some sort of aura.
"No, I mean I have it with me." This kid…
"How?" Azazel asked.
"Trade secret." Cyrus shrugged.
"Is there any chance you know where the rest of the four are?" Huh, this kid. Just what was he planning?
"I might have an idea. Why do you want to know?"
"I want to complete the set and give them to Aika." Seriously?!
"You want four of the strongest Sacred Gears, excluding Longinus class gears, just to gift them to your girl?"
"Yup." Azazel couldn't help himself, he started to laugh. It seems that this kid was quite fond of the fairer sex just like him and the original Samson. He didn't dislike that.
"Hahaha! Ok, ok. I have the other three, what would you give me to have them?"
"What would you want?" Kid shrugged, nice to see that at least he was green when it came to negotiations. First rule of negotiations, never let the opponent dictate the terms.
Honestly, giving out the Vritra gears wouldn't be too much of a loss to him. He couldn't awaken the Prison Dragon King without all the pieces so they were just three Sacred Gears with somewhat impressive abilities. He already got everything he wanted from them with his research for Downfall Dragon Spear.
But he also didn't want to give them away for free.
"Hmm, for now let's just say that you owe me three favors. Also let me study how all the gears work together later on, I am kinda curious about it." There, vague enough that he could later on get more than he was technically bargaining for yet sounding cheap enough for the kid to take the deal.
"Very well, not like I have much of a choice about it." Cyrus said with a nod.
"Cool, I will send the gears before next week. You should check out your house, especially under the basement. I think putting some girls there might be enjoyable for you." With his piece said, he teleported back to Grigori.
And now he had to tell Shemhazai that he more or less sold the Vritra gears away.

Well, at least I got what I wanted, technically. Hopefully Azazel won't ask for anything too outlandish for those favors. He would probably ask for one during the Kokabiel fiasco later on but I'm not sure about the other two.
Didn't matter, worse case scenario I would just run away to another world since that is supposed to be unlocked after the peace conference arc, then I would come back stronger so that it wouldn't be a problem.
With my mind made I entered my new house, I have a mansion now, and saw everyone huddled together with the exception of Koneko who was in kitchen, eating everything she could get her hands on.
She looked like a chipmunk with her cheeks full of food.
The others on the other hand had formed a little girl circle with Kiba looking super awkward near them while Asia simply seemed clueless about everything.
"Hey there." I said as I sat down between Aika and Asia.
"Cryus, look at her! She is so adorable!" Aika said as she reached for Asia over me who looked like a tomato due to her blush.
"A-Aika-san, please… you are exaggerating." She said with a stutter, looking quite uncomfortable with the attention she was getting.
"Shush, I am too busy with seeing how adorable you are to listen." Aika said as she laid on my lap and started to play with Asia's cheeks.
"A-Aika-san!"
"Adorable overload!" Yeah, these two would stay like that for a while.
"So, shouldn't you go back and tell Sona about Azazel being here?" I asked Rias who flinched and then looked the other way.
"Well, he was technically here for you so I think you should be the one to tell her." She said without making eye contact, trying to weasel out of her responsibilities.
"Ahh, but you are the owner of this territory along with Sona, are you not? Which means you have a responsibility to tell her about what happens here." I said with a super polite smile that was as fake as Shalltear's breasts.
"You are right, it is my responsibility to tell her and I shall do it." Rias said with a grim tone in her voice.
"…tomorrow." Which then turned into one of joy as she postponed her duty.
The next head of the Gremory family, ladies and gentlemen.
Oh well, at least we were having fun.
