Harry saw as the Headmaster went still, the old wizard just sat there in silence digesting what Harry told him.
"If we are going to keep talking about this then I need a drink. In my experience, these things go a lot better with a few drinks or a lot of them" Harry spoke breaking the Headmaster out of his stupor.
Albus gave a tired nod. Seeing this Harry continued "Take out the good stuff Headmaster. The one that you hide in the secret compartment under your desk"
"That liquor is quite strong Harry. Not suitable for someone so young" Dumbledore warned.
"No need to worry Headmaster. We can't get drunk from just one bottle. Our enhancement rituals are far too strong for that to happen"
This time Dumbledore didn't even react to the fact that Harry already performed his rituals at such a young age, but then again this is quite an eventful night for both of them.
As Albus took out the bottle Harry conjured two glasses for them. The two glasses are carved with a lion on them, just a little Gryffindor humour among two members of the house of lions.
Dumbledore filled the two glasses with firewhisky before taking a large sip from his glass. The fact that he planned to sacrifice Harry weighed heavily on the Headmaster, Harry can clearly see how much this affected Dumbledore.
"Don't be hard on yourself Dumbledore, you tried to make the best out of a truly awful situation" Harry said to comfort him.
"I wish I could believe you Harry but what kind of person does that to an innocent child"
Harry shook his head and removed the gem from the locket hanging around his neck before tossing the ruby to Dumbledore.
Dumbledore was surprised by his sudden action but still easily caught the gem. Albus looked at the gem in his before giving Harry a questioning look.
"Use your sight" Harry simply said before taking the bottle and refilling his glass.
Dumbledore's blue eyes glowed with magic behind his glasses as he carefully observed the ruby lying in his hands.
"This is a soul trapping array and quite a strong one at that" Dumbledore spoke but couldn't keep the surprise out of his voice.
"More importantly the gem is filled, you have trapped a soul in this!"
Harry nodded "Yes I have. But as you know there is no way to keep a soul trapped if the person to who the soul belongs dies. Yet the gem still holds a soul"
Realisation dawned on Dumbledore "You mean Horcrux"
"Horcruxes" Harry corrected "The secret to Tom's immortality. He hoped to create six of them but as you see I have taken care of most of them"
"But this is beyond foolish! To mutilate your own soul like this that too multiple times! This is too much even for Tom" Dumbledore said with shock apparent in his voice.
"Tom no longer exists Dumbledore. The boy that you knew is gone, he has been gone for a long time. What is left is Voldemort, an abomination to himself and nature itself"
"Last time I too was one of his Horcrux, an accidental one. Even eleven years ago Voldemort's soul was already damaged to the extent that he left a piece of his soul in my scar. So you can understand why last time you suddenly started to orchestrate my death even when I was just a baby in your arms" Harry explained.
"The only way to destroy such a vile thing is to destroy the vessel" Dumbledore answered.
Harry nodded "But this time I got lucky. While the Dark Lord still got destroyed he didn't leave a parasite behind in my forehead"
"So how did you remove it last time?" Albus inquired.
"Short answer by dying at the hands of Voldemort. Long answer I don't know, at least not for sure. There is a complex protection ritual involved that may have played a part, then there is the Elder wand which was in Voldemort's hand but I was its true master at that time just like I am now. Or it could be the prophecy that brought me back from death or it could be any other thing. It could be the fact that I accepted my death even welcomed it that brought me back. There was just so much going on at that time with the war reaching its final point"
"We both know how unpredictable magic becomes when it comes to the soul and then you add the prophecy on top of that, it was all a shit storm from the beginning that I somehow survived through" Harry went on.
Albus calmly listened and only offered a weak nod before drowning his glass of firewhisky in one big gulp.
"You have truly suffered Harry and from what I am hearing I am to blame for most of it. If only I had acted sooner and stopped Tom before he became this creature" Albus spoke his voice weakest it has ever been.
The ruby in his hands slowly floated back to Harry "how many of his Horcruxes are still out there? I assume you would have destroyed this gem by now if you had all of the pieces" Dumbledore asked.
"Two but they are somewhere I can't get access to, at least not without causing chaos in the entire wizarding Britain. If things happen like last time Voldemort will make one more in the next few years but that one is not hard to destroy" Harry answered as he puts the gem back in the locket.
"Where are the other two? Maybe I can help you with those" Dumbledore offered.
"Can you get me access to Lestrange Vaults or help me break into Malfoy manor?" Harry asked with a smirk on his face.
Albus stayed silent seeing this Harry continued "Didn't think so. It's all the bloody politics that's the problem. It doesn't matter if I break into the goblin bank or the house of the pureblood head, it will undoubtedly cause a political nightmare"
