บท 60: Ready for war (3)

During the same few weeks, the Kou Collective was having the worst time of their life. Two of the other countries teamed up overnight and began pressuring them immensely. They were scratching their heads, wondering what happened. They tried to partner with any of the remaining two countries but were met with the silent treatment.

They were left with no choice but to go all out to protect themselves from being swallowed by their opponents' overwhelming might.

A fist landed on a wooden table, sending splinters flying everywhere. "What the hell is going on here? Why is this happening? Are we done for? Is this really how this ends for us? Damn that bastard, Luther." A tall, heavyset man with a red beard long down to wait screamed in anger.

"Quaker, getting angry will change nothing. We need to calm down. If we cannot overpower our opponents, we will simply have to outsmart them," said a good-looking older woman to his side.
