I do not usually give good reviews here on Webnovel, but this story seems to demand it. First this is a story about a guy who transmigrates to a world in an intergalactic cultivation empire far away from our own galaxy. During his transmigration he is given the obligatory gold-finger in the form of a 'system' that helps him to learn and modify cultivation techniques. This gold-finger is rather lackluster when compared with other MC's but it is still very powerful. Different from other MC's he does not instantly gain power or understanding but builds up a foundation for his life in his new world. Realism for a cultivation novel, this is highly realistic in how things might happen given both his advantages and disadvantages. The characters are not the cookie cutter type stereotypical characters. The MC actually behaves like an adult and has somewhat adult like reactions to his encounters. This is not a situation where there is a quick road to power, but a steady climb in being able to grow at an accelerating pace as he is more able to utilize his 'cheats' without endangering himself or those he cares for. The world building seems to be a large step up from those that are typical of cultivation novels. I also have nothing bad to say about the translation. Overall while I would not score this as a 5/5 for personal reading, I have to when I relate to the bloated scores that I find on Webnovel.
Really nice and clever story. Quite unique technology and cultivation fusion setting. The translation at the beginning leaves something to be desired, but it gets better towards the end.

The first twenty chapters were rough and hard to follow. There are a lot of terms and concepts that are a bit different from other cultivation novels and the whole 'editing skills parts' are jarring. The story picks up a lot as it goes on and now by chapter 40 I'm completely hooked. All the earlier issues are gone and the author/translator seemed to really find their 'voice'. If you like slice of life, weak to strong, slower growth, secret identities, etc... Then this novel is right up your alley.

Friends, this is a GREAT little story. The Protagonist, Zhou Ji—Wonder if he's kin to Demoness Ji?—can edit Martial Skills or Cultivation Techniques. I'm not sure perfectly how that works, since he isn't free to take, "I'm a Bum" cultivating technique and directly raise it to "A Cultivation God Before Midnight—As Long as You Start Before 4:30 PM" cultivating technique. He is a BIT overpowered, but not quite to the "Multiply everything by10 000x" stage of ridiculousness…I really like his daughter and her Little Bitty White Dog. I HOPE this one gets picked—and I HOPE that I ain't jinxing it, cause lots of my favorites don't not get like picked.

for some reason this book kinda hit it well with me. hmm... whatever, but i do know that I'll be following this story so long as it's still updating, though... DON'T STOP UPDATING THE CHAPTERS!!! DEV!!! I SUPPORT THSI BOOK!!!
While I will admit to being a bit confused on how exactly the system works I do like the overall concept - being able to improve a cultivation method/skill. I've always wondered about who creates skills in the first place and this is touching on that a bit. But I also like MC. He's obviously a kind and doting 'father' but he is sufficiently ruthless to his enemies which I like. Clean kills are great. Nice start to this book!
After a very long time, something worth reading has been translated and translated well. Sincerely appreciable effort by the author who has beautifully focused on characters and story instead of power-up. Hope this gets selected and the story continues to amaze me. Well done author. Well done translator. Keep it up.
its a Confusing novel wich the authors did not organize or explain the Mc properly at the start its only some meaningless conversations However it starts to get better when the mc actually has combat and discovers his strenght (Around chapter 18 to 20)
This book is different from the typical unless ofcourse after this we will get a slew of similar titles but still this book is interesting. I like when the protoganist has to work for his strength instead of being a typical gary sue and the kid is adorable even with the scant description that the author gave. Recommend this to be chosen 👍🏽
Definitely a good story so far and hopefully it gets picked. There are a variety of rough parts. The translation is hard to follow at a few points and can't decide on things like if people cultivate Qi or Aura. The MC is overall an interesting character but his lack of reaction to murdering lots of people sticks out as odd. The little girl is a little too obedient for her age but is otherwise another solid character. So far I like it and definitely recommend it as overall it is a very solid read. The world seems interesting and I am curious where the story will go. Only 25 chapter out right now though so YMMV.

Definitely a different kind of story. This MC is actually old and has an adopted blind daughter. Unfortunately, I don't see much potential in the series. MC used up his system savings of around 30 years, just to obtain the technique to break into Foundation. With such an advanced age and troublesome daughter, the novel reads more like a slow slice of life story of a guy slowly getting stronger while taking care of a daughter that will definitely either get bullied a lot, or turn out to be a hidden super expert. It's not bad per se, but also not very engaging.

It has been a few weeks since I liked a story premise well enough to write a review. This book has pretty good grammar and the sentences read well. It never messes up the genders. But the X and repeating same X where they need a different synonym or deleting the 'and X' is still a problem. Skill/Spell names have horrible inconsistency. Most of my 2 Star deduction is due to this. Also, a few too many tropes like 'pouring the whole bottle of pills' are here. This particular trope bugs me a lot. Respect the Pills!
yeah I could completely see where this novel will develop.From it's name I thought that it could have had a lot of potential but sometimes MC's background matters more than a interesting power.This man is probably around 30 with a daughter.This novel is more about a cute girl journeying with her father going around the cultivation world than a man getting a power in cruel cultivation world.Its end is clear I have no hope for this novel.I don't why this novel is on trial read I think the webnovel deteriorating.

Huh... Not a lot of skill editing system genre around. I had read a few but have either limitation on how many time mc could do per realm or how high can mc push the limit. Reading from description in front, feels like a limitless type as long as mc is creative. Oh wait, mc had limitation of needing cultivation technique first.. Well, nothing that mc can't solve with inserting omni-ish power...
