The people were instantly filled with apprehension, all turning to look at Fang Heng.

They had caught most of the conversation through the mirrored barrier earlier. As they looked at Fang Heng, a hint of fear flashed in their eyes.

What did he mean?

Was Fang Heng planning an experiment?

Using the sacred tree of the tree spirit for experimentation?

Wasn't that insane?

Even though it was already a withered sacred tree, the idea of tampering with it still made them uneasy.

"Everyone, I'm sure you've heard," Fang Heng glanced at them, continuing, "The inheritance left by the tree spirit cannot fall into the hands of other tribes. If we don't act, others will. This is for the future of the tree spirit tribe. I won't say more. Let's get to work."

Ana and the others exchanged glances, yet before they could decide whether to join in, they saw Fang Heng already moving around the sacred tree, beginning to set up the ritual magic array.
