Napoleon was up early. He was sitting on the grass while going through a few strategies. He had started going to the battlefield with the rest of his army one week ago, and it had turned out to be very effective.
His army had more momentum, despite the Austrian side being able to hold their own, since Alexander had adopted the strategy as him.
However, it was obvious for anyone who saw the battle with some attention that Napoleon's side was the one in advantage, despite not being that superior than their enemies.
However, that slight advantage didn't please Napoleon.
While the intention of his other armies down in the south was to hold the Austrian troops back as much as possible, Napoleon and the rest of his team had to be the ones to break through the Austrian defenses as soon as possible.
And unfortunately for Napoleon, the battle wasn't going as he wished.
