Lukas couldn't keep his calm expression in that moment. It was too much for him. Simply too much for him to bear.
Lukas clenched his trousers under the table, trying to find any solution he could to solve this problem, however, nothing came to his mind.
Meanwhile, Erik, noticing Lukas's state, showed a slight smile. "However, I must admit that I do not desire your death," he said.
Lukas slowly his eyes upwards to face Erik. Of course he already knew it. It would be pointless for them to execute Lukas right now. After all, the Von Neumann house didn't have any other male heir, and Franz needed him for the war.
Franz nodded his head. "I feel the same too," he said. "And that is why I called the Holy Father here," the king added, gesturing towards Pius.
