บท 5: Another Contact
Kylo squatted down while looking into his map of the planet and saw many survivors of the battle. The troopers look at him while guarding Poe. Poe looks at the troopers and then asks the Troopers, "hey, how much is he paying you anyway?" The troopers keep silent "come on man, are you really that uptight… I could … pay you well.. " the troopers then said "corrupt people like you is the reason the republic is so weak"
Poe nod, " better than being a slave"
".. or a terrorist!" The trooper says
"Look who's talking" Poe smirkly and looks the other way.
"Do you want a FIGHT!!" The troopers push Poe back and pull his collar.
Suddenly an unidentified plane flew past them. Kylo stands up and screams "ENOUGH!!" He walks toward them and looks at the troopers. He asks to open his helmet. The Troopers do what he is told and a black face is under all those helmets. Kylo asks his name and the troopers say his number and salute him, "FN-2187 sir!!!"
Kylo closely inspected his face, "I say your name?"
"Pardon sir?" The troopers confused and tilted his head.
"Still a shiny I presume" Kylo walks away looking back at his map.
"Then I better just called you Finn then." Poe giggly suggest
"You got a problem with me hah!!" Finn push back Poe again
"I said enough, and YOU!!" Kylo looks into Poe "I respected your skill, but we gotta get out of this planet if we want to fight another day"
Finn suddenly notices that all the dots in the maps are gone one by one. "Sir, I'm sorry but look" Kylo looks into the map and sure is. One by one his surviving man is gone. Finn asks if this is a glitch while Kylo shakes the device. He looks at it again and it is still gone one by one. "No Finn someone is killing our man"
Suddenly from their back from the forest came out the Yuuzhan Vong who jumped and tried to attack them closely. Poe quickly takes Kylo blaster and shoots it, surprising both Kylo and Finn.
Kylo pulls out his lightsaber and swings it aiming for the neck. The yuuzhan vong using his weapon deflected it. While pointing his back at Finn and Poe that start shooting at him. The armor of the Yuuzhan vong is strong enough to hold a blaster.
Another 3 of them came out of the forest shooting at them using the same weapon. Kylo deduces that the same weapon acts like a blaster and a staff for close combat. Then kylo hides behind the debris while Finn and Poe hide behind the ship. Kylo screams "shoot their head alright!!".
Kylo uses the force to pull debris between the 4 yuuzhan vong making the rest of the two in front looking back at the debris that divides them in two. At the time Poe and Finn use their blaster to shoot both of them down while the other two in the back jump out of the debris. Kylo doesn't hesitant and uses force to push them back. They land on their feet and start blasting Kylo.
Kylo tries to deflect them but the yuuzhan vong blaster isn't just heavier but also creates a lightning shock that makes grips a bit numb. Luckily Kylo knows this and has been using gloves since then. Finn and Poe blast at the other making one of the yuuzhan vong blast both of them into hiding behind their ship. With the given chance by the distraction, Kylo manages to deflect the blast into the other one, killing him. While taken by surprise, Kylo forces choke the other one.
Poe and Finn come out of their cover. They both never see such species. "What are they? " Poe asked. The yuuzhan vong laugh at his question "your strength is weak, we are strong.." says him but Kylo cut in true this yuuzhan vong monologue "yeah and you are the yuuzhan vong, we get it".
The yuuzhan vong is a surprise, "you.. you know us.."
Kylo smiles,"more than you think" he then pulls out his lightsaber and throws it toward one of the yuuzhan vong, stabbing it, who they think was dead but actually just plays death and shoots out a blast that misses. This making Poe react surprise as he says "holy~~"
Kylo pulls back the lightsaber with the force. Kylo's choke is getting harder, while the yuuzhan vong smiles at the pain,"You masochistic bastard," Kylo says. He then kills him.
Afterward, Finn ask "is that the last of them"
"We don't know…" kylo says until he feels something with the force hiding behind the bush.
A few moments before Kylo and Poe fell out of the sky. Not far from where they will land. In the Jedi temple, Rey is on the edge thinking about what her master told her. Suddenly a little pebble was thrown at her. She caught it in mid-air behind her back. She turns around and sees Ben and Jap'Firi. They walk toward her while Jap'Firi sits next to her. Ben only stands next to them, throwing a rock to the sea.
Jap'Firi asks what she is thinking about. "Nothing~," says Rey. Jap'Firi put her hand under Rey's chin and tried to make eye contact with her. Rey's eyes refuse and look the other way. "It's ok if you don't want to talk about it," Jap'firi says it as she lets go of her chin.
"It is nothing you two… just nothing.." she looks down almost tearing up. "It sounds unlike nothing.. you know what I mean.." Ben throws another rock toward the sea and sees it gone far, hitting its surface. Ben kneels down next to her. "Ever since your a youngling, I think this always bother you isn't"
"Haha, Like you can read my mind.. I mean yeah the force.. " Rey says it pulls her shoulder up and roll her eyes "of course of all people you guys sense it."
Jap'Firi giggles "well we are the three Padawan of Master Luke who is old enough to get a lightsaber. Besides it doesn't need a Jedi to knows it" Rey hearing that looks at Ben "well he just got it a few weeks ago" Ben a bit mad, crossing his arms and says, "hey its still count" while shrugging it off
"Learn your first form first Padawan" Rey punched him a bit onto his upper arm. Jap'Firi tackles them both as they fall toward the grass and lay down on it. She then looked toward Rey. "Hey, we are friends. If you don't want to talk about it and don't. But we are here for you when you are ready." Rey smiles hearing that. It makes her heart a bit lighter.
Then when they looked at the sky together. The sky turns red, the ship blowing in mid-air. The three of them shock and stand up quickly. They ask each other about what it is. Rey looks back at Ben and says, "Ben take all the other padawan and younglings inside. Remember your in charge now, don't let anyone see the temple ok."
Ben nods and they walk toward the Temple, suddenly a youngling stops them and says another younglings is still out there looking for fruits to eat. Ben looks at Rey and Jap'Firi. Rey puts her hand on top of Ben's shoulder and says,"I'll take care of it, you focus on saving the other ok." Ben nods as they go their separate ways.
Rey runs as fast as she can. She notices someone following her; it is none other than Jap'Firi. She stops her before they get into the forest.
"Jap what are you doing here?" Rey pinch her nose breach looking stressful
"Helping you get those younglings back to the temple of course" she looks at Rey with a smile.
Rey sighs "ugh~~" then she puts both of her hands into her friend's shoulders. "Look I don't want you to get hurt alright"
"What about you?" Jap'Firi asks Rey, smiling. Making her speechless. "We will be fine Rey, let's go already. We can't make them wait." Rey nods as they enter the forest.
When they are inside the forest they try to use force to sense them. They look at each other and still not get anything. "Hey Rey, how about if we do it together?" Rey look at Jap'Firi and nod, "we never do this thou"
"It is better than nothing, Rey", Rey nodded again. "Let's do this" as they sit facing each other and put their hand on top of the other shoulder. "Can you feel anything?" Rey asked. "No… not at the moment". Their heads go closer and closer. When their heads meet one another suddenly they can feel it. The younglings hiding on top of the tree. Then someone else feels pain, hatred, and anger. They see Kylo Ren, making their head hurt and fall to the ground uninjured.
"Who is that!!" Rey says while trying to stand up. She helps her friend up who is samely underwhelmed. "I don't know.. but we must hurry…" Rey nodded. They start going toward the younglings' direction. When they find the younglings both of them look scared of something. The younglings who are hiding on top of the tree point in a direction in which they could hear someone coming.
Both Rey and Jap'Firi hide behind the tree. They see 2 storm troopers coming in with a yuuzhan vong which they can't identify. The four of them keep their mouths shut. After they pass true to them, both Rey and Jap'Firi exhale with relief. They then help the younglings get down from the tree.
Rey looks at her friend and says,"bring them back to the temple. Use the secret pathway we build" when Rey is almost going to run off. "and where are you going?" Ask Jap'firi.
"Scouting, of course, we have to know why they are here. They probably looking for us. Why in the hell they will be out here." Rey says it unsure of it. "Don't die ok, I'll be behind you after I bring them back"
"Hah you worry too much," says ray smirking
"That smile of yours usually meant trouble," she says pointing that out
"Don't worry not gonna get into trouble" she then smiles toward her friend and takes off running toward where Kylo is.
