What do you think, Naruto?" Luna asked as she read the old looking book
She was helping him study, but when he only needed to read a book, she read some random ones as well, that's how she got to the old book with a prophecy
"Umm... this sounds like a kid's book, really..." He answered, and true, it did sound like one
"That's where you are wrong, that's the synopsis
They told me this book is quite a brutal one, it supposedly has a very dark plot they said..." Luna said pointing to the book
"Who's them?" Naruto asked, you should always know who is the ones saying this kind of stuff, least it was Konohamaru or some other kid
"Shizune san, she said she didn't like the book because it's too dark, I don't even know how she has time to read since I always see her working with Tsunade sensei..." Luna pointed out a good question but
"Uhh... like this?" Naruto pointed behind Luna, and she looked
at a dozen Narutos all reading books on their own entering her field of view
She blushed in embarrassment as she forgot about clones, she couldn't use many, different from Naruto who used them for literally anything...
maybe he made a clone to even change clothes, like, making the clone do it, then using substitution to change himself and the clone... Where is this stupid thing going? seesh
"Right... how could I forget about this broken jutsu?" She muttered, in a very low voice
"I don't know, they are very convenient" Naruto said, looking back to his book, entitled 'Konoha's historical moments for dummies'
History, his least favorite discipline...
"Right..." Luna answered, looking back at her book as well

Inside of a book store, a confused Sasuke stood there while looking at Kakashi
"Why are we here?" He asked
Kakashi didn't answer, bit pointed at the bookstore and said
"You see those books?" He asked a stupid question
"No. What books? I thought those were cabbages" And he received an answer just as stupid
Instead of getting angry at Sasuke's sarcastic comment, he nodded his head in approval
'Being sarcastic, reading books... this kid does indeed have potential' He thought
"So..." Completely ignoring Sasuke's words, Kakashi continued
"... I want you to choose 5 books from that store, they will be for you and I'll be paying, so don't worry about that" Kakashi said, eye ... smiling? what a weirdo...
"Why?" Sasuke narrowed his eyes, there was something he was missing
there is no way Kakashi was just feeling nice, he knew what this devil was capable of because of their trainings
'Maybe there are bombs on the books, all except 5?
Maybe there is some hidden mission inside those books, but fragmented between 5 and I will need to find it and complete it?'
Sasuke's mind went on overdrive thinking of thousands of possibilities as he tried to see what the catch was
meanwhile, Kakashi was yawning as he waited for Sasuke to pick his books
'Now, I wait
if he chooses real man's literature, then I'll need to do very little
but...
if he chooses anything else, then there is a lot to do... sigh... this can be so annoying... but everything for a purpose, I guess...'
As Kakashi was thinking about how tedious it would be to teach Sasuke da wae, he saw Shizue walk by, and since Sasuke was brainstorming and looked like he was going to take a while, he decided to talk with her
It honestly feels weird, having Kakashi the anti-socialization incarnate, start talking with someone...
"Yo!" He greeted her
meanwhile, Sasuke was trying to find some clues about the 'book test'
'He yawned... is it books about sleep?
Or is it a metaphor? boring books? maybe long books?
He is going to talk with Shizue? that's odd for him, is she on this as well? is it books about acting weird? or socialization?'
His mind brought up ideas after ideas, going in weird directions sometimes
his 3 brain cells are working way past their capacity, and steam was starting to come out of his head
"Hey kid, are you alright?" The owner of the store asked, seeing Sasuke's face of someone who was holding a fart or something, but he got no answer whatsoever
...
"Oh, it's Kakashi... what are you doing here?" Shizue asked while being a bit weirded out by Kakashi being the one to greet her
"What do you mean by 'it's Kakashi'? are you unhappy to see me or what?
And I was just buying Sasuke some books" Kakashi said, pointing at Sasuke with his thumb, not looking at the kid with a steaming head behind him
Shizue, however, interpreted that steam differently
'Steam coming out of the head? this is a fantasy-like world, and in fantasy isn't that a sign of embarrassment? So Kakashi bought him some embarrassing books?' She thought, using some weird information she most probably got from her past life
which by the way, is not true at all, or you are telling me that Majin boo is a very embarrassed dude? no, right?
"Who would be happy to see you?" Shizue asked, still judging Kakashi In her mind
"Many people, actually" Kakashi said
and he obviously meant
his friends... oh, no... those are all dead...
his family... uh... dead as well...
his teacher... right, dead
his... fellow jonins? his summon dogs?
Yeah, that's about right I guess...
"Also, books?" She asked
"Yeah... why?" He asked back
"Coming from your weird book preference, I wouldn't be surprised if he starts to become a creep like you anytime soon..." Shizue nailed it
"Excuse me, the holy writings I read are not something someone like you have the capabilities to understand!" Kakashi activated his young master mode to defend his books
" -_- " Shizue deadpanned at this answer
"It's just po**, nothing big like what you make it seem like. Maybe someday someone will give this world some true literature" Shizue said, remembering some books she used to read, in her opinion, infinitely better than Kakashi's books
"Right, like someone will write something you of all people would find to be 'literature' " Kakashi said sarcastically
"What do you mean by that?" Shizue asked with a frown
"You have... weird, preferences to say the least, and to top it off, you are older than me, so I see very few things that could interest you..." Kakashi said, not noticing what he had just done
digging his own grave
"Are you... calling me old?" Shizue's hair started floating beside her menacingly, a neat trick she learned from Kushina, that is very good for intimidating people
'Oops... in times like this, there is only one thing that can be done...' Kakashi took a deep breath and prepared himself
*Breathe in*
*Breathe out*
"NIGERUNDAYO!"
He ran, as fast as he could, leaving a dust trail behind
"KA. KA. SHIIIIIINEEEEE!" Shizue screamed in anger, that was not really anger... she wasn't even mad, she only didn't like Kakashi, that's all
Meamwhile
'He ran? is it books about retrear tactics? or historical books about big retreats during battles? maybe he gave me enought hints and left to not confuse me after?'
Sasuke continued his brainstorm as literal smoke started to leave his head
he is going to fry his 3 braincells at this rate...
