There was only much she could take and one of them involved maltreating her loved ones. When Desmond was pushed down, Dahlia didn't say much because he brought that one on himself. But seeing her parents? That was another thing.

The disappointed look on her mother's face was like a quick stab in her chest while her father rushed to Desmond's side. That was when Dahlia knew that she couldn't do this anymore. No matter what, family comes first.

Hence, she took a step back, "Sorry, but I don't think I want to register anymore." Dahlia said, stepping back only to bump into a hard chest. Her heart skipped a beat. Not a romantic one at all, but one you get from a horror movie. 

Hopefully, it wasn't that strong vampire. No, it can't be that vampire! Heck! It had to be that vampire, right?! Dahlia began to panic inwardly. She slowly turned around and her fears were confirmed. And something else as well.
