Callie looked at the bags in front of her. It seemed they had packed the entire house, but Joyceta was determined that they have everything they’d need just in case while in the sanctuary.

Callie caught several whispers from the others around her. They were scared that her father would attack the town if he couldn’t access his daughter. That meant Jardan and Callie had to be prepared for a long stay at the Sanctuary. Others aside from the two teens could suffer greatly.

Indigo pulled her into the living room where they were alone. “Let me try to explain a few things more before we go.”

Callie nodded in response.
