(Julian's POV)
After the call with my mom, I returned Pascal's phone to him. We were inside my car at the parking lot. He gave me a worried look but I shook my head telling him that everything was okay. My relationship with my mom was different from a normal relationship and far from an healthy relationship.
It mostly ended in outbursts and always ruined my mood. I wasn't surprised the day that my parents left for Spain without thinking of me. That was how they were. They have always put business first before family.
"She said she hasn't been able to reach you since you left Spain. Why, man?" Pascal asked, unimpressed and I shot him an incredulous look. I didn't want to talk about it but I knew I owed him an explanation since my mom has been disturbing him with her calls.
