Shane was startled as he stretched out his hand to pick up the contraceptive pills, but he didn't take them out.

The phone was still ringing. Shane finally picked up the call and put Grace's bag aside. It was Stanhope...

With a grin, Shane answered the call: "Hello... Stanhope!"

"How is Grace doing?"

"What do you mean, how is she doing?" Shane insinuated.

"Don't be spooky; just say what you have to say..." Stanhope's voice came through, rich with laughter.

"Tsk tsk tsk... You're not even embarrassed!" Shane's eyes were filled with humor, "The milk candy is delicious, isn't it? Sweet... Were you excited when you unwrapped it last night?"
