The duchess realized she had not really thought about this properly. Her money would all be taken by that wench. They would need to submit their businesses and declare their actual earnings to the royal family. They would need to cater to the needs of the royal family on their whim. She was certainly not ready for that.

"What should we do then, husband?" she asked with a thoughtful look on her face. Harold Whittemore's features softened. He had no plan in his mind either. But he had confidence in Isaac Laurent. After all, he was always tens steps ahead of everyone.

"Let us just leave it to fate. It will happen even if we do not want to, so there is no use in thinking about it," he said, deeply sighing. However, in his mind, he was certainly making plans to talk to Isaac about it. They needed to be on the same page about what that man was thinking and what really needed to be done.
