The warm Amayan sun, shrouded in the moist aqua glow of the Amayan pillars, passed through the layers of blue-gray clouds, showering its golden brilliance on the aquiline imperial city. Festive red and pink ribbons flowed in the air, red-purple-blue petals raining on the imperial streets.

At the gates of the imperial palace were the Crown Prince and Prince Noore, one on black and the other on white Myifs. The Crown Prince was in dark purple-blue robes, with golden intricate embroidery of rivers of stars on the sleeves and belt.
