"Do you like it?" asked Daniel smiling after handing a ring to Delilah. Daniel bought the ten-carat diamond ring as a gift for Delilah's birthday. She was stunned by the diamond ring that Daniel had given her now. Delilah has never possessed any expensive things in her life. She intended to own it anyway. 

"It's too expensive, Daniel. I can't take it," Delilah refused gently. Daniel smiled gently at her. He kept putting the box for her on the table. 

"No… it was not expensive. Besides, isn't your birthday tomorrow?" Daniel replied, still smiling brightly. Delilah could only smile back at Daniel with a face that wasn't cheerful at all.

"What are you doing, Delilah? Are you alright? You look pale!" said Daniel sounding worried. Delilah spontaneously shook her head and tried to smile at him. Delilah turned towards the street opposite the shop and accidentally saw Grey walking towards the cafe to follow her.
