บท 173: That Isn't Possible

The night before Hannah was supposed to go back to work, Yzranth was finally able to relax. She would be happier there than being stuck at home and he wouldn't have to worry about her getting hurt again. A win-win. 

He was nearly asleep when she called his human name. "Hey, Ezra?"

"Yeah?"

"I love you."

A jolt went through him. That woke him up! She had never said that before. He knew from his courtship research that it was a big step in relational development. 

Hannah loved him. He was that much closer to officially becoming her mate. 

Yzranth couldn't let her know just how much that meant to him using words but holding her closer and nuzzling the top of her head was the best he could do. It took him a moment to collect himself enough to reply. 

  "I love you too, Princess. Always."
