บท 146: Always Looking Out For Her

Drew and Rosetta were perfect for each other because of his accident. Ace had wondered how that worked many times but now he couldn't help but wonder how he and Cora ended up being soulmates too. 

She was the only woman he knew aside from his sister-in-law that wasn't afraid of him. And somehow, after everything she had been through, he made her feel safe.

Cora's issues with soulmates aside, they worked. Just like every other pair of soulmates he had ever met. 

Ace would probably never understand how the system worked but he wished he did. So much of it didn't make sense. The way it matched people up, why bad things had to happen because of it, and more.

It could save people, like it had with Drew, and it could destroy them. It was both impartial and unfair. There was no rhyme or reason to any of it.
