บท 105: Empty Metal Box

"Why are you smiling, Miss Tomato?"

Evelyn swallowed hard as she stared at the set of sly eyes staring back at her. She didn't realize she was smiling until he pointed it out. With a vigorous shake of her head, she replied, "Nothing."

Elric lifted his left brow, trying to intimidate her for answers. She noticed him approaching her slowly. She stood there like a pillar staring at him but internally she was quivering like a leaf on a branch during windy days. She closed her eyes as soon as he got close to her, praying he wouldn't do anything.

Not long after, she heard him say, "Where is the metal box? Let me investigate it." She was startled when she heard his voice from behind her and dropped the book she was holding. She shifted her gaze to him, who was rummaging through her desk for something. She was puzzled wondering when he brushed past her.

"Huh?"

"Metal box, Miss Evelyn," Elric repeated.
