บท 31: Chapter 31: Good Couple

The Mizukage Building,

"Where did you go?" Shikadai asked curiously.

"I followed this stupid ass," Boruto said, pointing at Iwabe with a smirk.

"Huh?" Iwabe became annoyed by Boruto's comment.

"Then we got into a fight with two Shinobi, but they were weak as shit. The interesting thing is that one of the guys seemed to be from the Kisame clan," Boruto explained.

"The Kisame clan?" Metal asked, intrigued.

"It's Hoshigaki, Boruto," Mitsuki corrected. "Boruto is talking about a notorious criminal named Hoshigaki Kisame."

The others listened attentively, a hint of fear creeping into their expressions. However, Boruto quickly reassured them, saying, "It's fine, Kisame is already dead. No one from the Hoshigaki clan will ever surpass that guy."

Kagura, who had been silently listening, instantly recognized the name and knew exactly who Boruto was referring to. However, he chose to keep quiet, his thoughts and emotions hidden.

"But where are we going?" Chocho ask.

"Someone want to meet you guys first" Kagura said with a smile.

Then as they walk towards the place, they met with the previous Mizukage Terumi Mei.

"Ara, many cute visitors" Mei said with a smile.

Boruto saw her and smile and he instantly said "Good to see you, Mei-san"

"Ara do you know who am I, Boruto-kun?" Mei ask.

"Of course, a woman who fought in a war in the Fourth Shinobi War. Can I ask a question Mei-san?" Boruto ask.

"Go ahead, Boruto-kun" Mei said.

"How was Madara in the war?" Boruto ask.

Mei surprised to hear name from Boruto but she answer it "He was absurdly strong, he didn't even try his best against the Five Kage at my era. We were terrified of his power"

"He was dominating the war right?" Boruto ask.

"Yes, I wonder why you asking me that question" Mei ask.

"Just curious" Boruto said.

After being led to the Mizukage office, Boruto and his classmates were met with a speech from the current Mizukage, Chojuro. His words were powerful, emphasizing the importance of peace between their two countries. Boruto listened intently, his mind racing with thoughts of what the future held for them all.

As the speech came to an end, Boruto and his friends made their way to the nearest hotel to await their accommodations. They sat in the lobby, chatting amongst themselves as they waited for Kagura to check them into their rooms.

Boruto, Sarada, Shikadai, Denki, and Chocho lounged on the sofa, while Mitsuki stood nearby, giving them information about Kagura. But Boruto's mind was elsewhere. He closed his eyes and cleared his mind, not giving a second thought to Mitsuki's words. His thoughts were consumed with the events of the day and what the future held for him and his friends.

"Boruto," Sarada called out to him, breaking him out of his thoughts.

Boruto opened his eyes and turned to face her. "What is it?" he asked.

Sarada looked at him with a hint of annoyance. "Did you not hear what Mitsuki just said?" she asked, clearly frustrated.

Boruto shrugged. "He was just talking about Kagura being a Chunnin and the successor of the current Mizukage's sword. I don't really care," he replied nonchalantly.

His friends exchanged a knowing look. They knew that Boruto had heard most of what Mitsuki had said, but his lack of interest was not surprising to them.

Mitsuki was about to provide more information when Kagura arrived, interrupting him. "Your rooms have been checked in. You guys can put your stuff away first, and then we can head to Hidden Mist Academy," he announced.

Boruto and his friends got up from the sofa and made their way to their rooms, eager to see what the rest of their trip had in store for them.

After settling into their rooms, Boruto and his friends made their way to Hidden Mist Academy. As they arrived, they saw students from the academy training in Kenjutsu, with Chojuro present to oversee the training.

Boruto looked bored, prompting Shikadai to ask him if he was okay. "I'm just bored. There's nothing to do here," Boruto replied with a sigh.

Chojuro overheard their conversation and suggested that Boruto have a sparring lesson. However, many of the students shook their heads, indicating that they did not want to spar with Boruto, knowing full well how strong he was. Chojuro was confused by their reaction.

"Really?" Boruto asked, intrigued by the idea.

"Yes, Kagura will be your sparring partner," Chojuro replied.

"But–" Kagura began to protest before Chojuro interrupted him. "To make friends, each of you must know each other's strength," he explained.

As Boruto prepared to spar with Kagura, he whispered to Sarada, "Copy those moves and make them yours." Sarada nodded in agreement, eager to learn from the sparring match.

×-×-×-×-×

Boruto and Kagura faced each other on the water arena, each holding a wooden sword in a normal stance. Boruto eyed Kagura's katana and muttered, "Kenjutsu only, right?"

Kagura nodded in response, ready to face off against Boruto.

"Okay, get ready, start!" Chojuro signaled the start of the sparring match.

Boruto decided to test the waters and see how skilled Kagura was in Kenjutsu. He began with an overhead attack, which Kagura blocked with ease. Kagura then launched a diagonal slash, but Boruto moved his sword to the strong point of Kagura's sword, surprising him.

As they continued to parry and block each other's attacks, Kagura became more and more aggressive. However, Boruto was able to deflect his attacks with ease, thanks to his exceptional skills in Kenjutsu.

Boruto also began to copy some of Kagura's moves, analyzing them with his Sharingan to see how he could incorporate them into his own fighting style.

As Boruto and Kagura sparred, Sarada watched intently, her Sharingan activated as she analyzed their every move. She was determined to learn as much as she could from the match and incorporate what she learned into her own fighting style.

Chocho noticed Sarada's red eyes and patted her on the shoulder, causing her to deactivate her Sharingan. "Is that the powerful Sharingan?" she whispered.

Sarada nodded in response, feeling a sense of pride in her abilities.

"You have unlocked it, amazing," Chocho said, impressed by Sarada's skills.

Sarada smiled at her friend's words, grateful for her support.

As Boruto and Kagura continued their intense sparring match, Boruto maintained a confident smile on his face. He watched as Kagura became more and more aggressive, his movements becoming increasingly erratic.

Despite seeing an opening to strike, Boruto chose to hold back and let the match continue. Shikadai observed Boruto's behavior and remarked, "Boruto is playing with his food at this point."

Mitsuki, who was also watching the match, chimed in, "He's definitely having fun. Just look at his face."

But Metal had a different perspective. "Nah, he looks like he's waiting for one slip-up from Kagura," he said, analyzing Boruto's movements and expressions.

As the sparring match between Boruto and Kagura drew to a close, Shikadai couldn't help but let out a loud sigh. "Boruto, end the match already so we can go buy some food," he shouted, his stomach rumbling in hunger.

Chocho chimed in, "Yeah, we all want to buy some food too."

The rest of the group nodded in agreement, their eyes fixed on the nearby food stalls.

Chojuro, who had been watching the match closely, couldn't help but smile at their reaction. He had never seen such enthusiasm for food before.

Just then, Boruto made his move, hitting the weak spot at the side of Kagura's sword with just the right amount of force to send it flying out of his hand. He then pointed his wooden sword at Kagura's neck, signaling his victory.

"I won," Boruto said, putting down his sword and extending his hand for a handshake. "That was fun."

Kagura smiled and shook his hand, rubbing the back of his head in defeat.

Chojuro was impressed by Boruto's skills in Kenjutsu. He never thought that Naruto's son would be this good at Kenjutsu.

After their intense sparring match, the group decided to head to the beach to relax and unwind. Before they went their separate ways, Boruto created a clone for each group to keep them company.

As Boruto was walking down the beach, he spotted a squid that he had been craving for a while. He quickly made his way to a nearby shop and bought 15 squids to satisfy his craving. But as he was about to leave, he spotted Sarada sitting alone on the stairs.

Without hesitation, Boruto sat down next to her and offered her one of the squids. Sarada was initially embarrassed, but then she noticed the plastic bag full of fried squid that Boruto had bought. She asked him if he could finish all of it, to which he confidently replied "Yes."

Boruto took Sarada's hand and gave her a piece of the fried squid, urging her to try it. "Eat it," he said with a smile.

Sarada took a bite and her eyes widened in surprise. "Wow, it's delicious," she exclaimed.

Boruto grinned, pleased with her reaction. "I knew you'd like it."

Meanwhile, Kagura had spotted the two of them sitting together and decided not to disturb them. Instead, he made his way over to Shikadai and Mitsuki and asked them a question. "Are Boruto and Sarada dating?" he inquired.

Shikadai shrugged his shoulders. "We're not sure. We've only recently noticed them getting close to each other," he said. "But if they are, I'm happy for them."

Mitsuki chimed in, "Yeah, they make a good couple."

After spending a relaxing afternoon at the beach, the group decided to head to the memorial stone in the village. As they approached the stone, they saw the countless names of fallen shinobi etched onto it.

Boruto's eyes scanned the stone and landed on the name of Momochi Zabuza. A smile formed on his face as he said, "Momochi Zabuza."

Inojin, who was standing next to him, asked, "Who is that?"

Boruto replied, "He was my dad's first shinobi fight. At the age of 12, he beat up Zabuza's assistant with the help of Sarada's dad."

The others looked at Boruto with newfound respect for the Seventh Hokage. Sarada, who had never heard this story before, decided to ask her mother about it when she returned home.

Kagura, who was standing nearby, then began to explain the history of the village. However, as he reached the part about the Fourth Mizukage, Boruto interrupted him.

"Your village indirectly started that regime," Boruto said.

Kagura looked confused. "What do you mean?"

Boruto continued, "Well, a certain someone thought it would be a good idea to capture Hatake Kakashi's comrade and make her a Jinchuriki. That's what caused the Fourth Mizukage and the blood mist."

Shikadai then asked, "What happened next?"

"Someone named Uchiha Obito, who was also the Rokudaime's comrade, decided to take revenge," Mitsuki chimed in.

"It seems like you don't know much about your own village's history, Kagura," Boruto said. "I guess Konoha knows more about it."

Sarada then added, "I don't know much about it either. I'll have to ask my father about it when I see him next."

Kagura looked surprised and said, "I didn't know about that."

"You should ask the previous Mizukage about it. She was there when it happened, so she'll have the answers," Boruto suggested.

Suddenly, a group of Genin arrived at the memorial stone, acting like they owned the place. The group exchanged glances, ready to defend the honor of their village if necessary.

Boruto turned to Iwabe and asked, "Do you want to handle this?"

Iwabe nodded and stepped forward, ready to confront the group of Genin who had arrived at the memorial stone. With a fierce look in his eyes, he easily took down each of them, one by one.

As the last Genin fell to the ground, Boruto asked Iwabe, "Did that release your pent-up anger?"

Iwabe let out a deep sigh and replied, "Yeah, but I still hate this place."

Kagura, who was standing nearby, asked, "Why do you hate it?"

Iwabe's face darkened as he said, "Because my grandfather died because of the Fourth Mizukage."

The news came as a shock to the other students. However, Boruto seemed unfazed and replied, "You should let go of that hatred. Nanadaime already defeated every dead Kage during the war."

Iwabe let out a frustrated sigh and said, "I know, but it's just...Argh!"

He then turned and walked away, clearly needing some time alone to process his emotions. The rest of the group watched him go, feeling a mix of sympathy and concern for their friend.
