Fu Hua can felt her consciousness sinking, before the sound of crickets rang in her ears and a gentle breeze blew through her hair.
She opened her eyes, she was currently standing inside a small wooden hut facing the mirror reflecting her whole body.
Fu Hua looked at the mirror that reflected her appearance, the reflection showed Fu Hua who had long white hair with several strands of red. She was seen wearing a long thin red and white shirt with red gloves covering her entire hands.
Seeing this appearance, Fu Hua muttered nostalgically.
"...Phoenix..."
After saying that, she walked to the side where the only window was, from that window she saw the view of the waterfall on top of the mountain close to her cottage, seeing this beautiful sight made Fu Hua mutter in confusion.
"Am I now in my memory?"
Otto's voice then sounded in her mind.
["This place is the Clouded Monastery, where you once lived. The place you are looking at now is in 1475, a memory that is the furthest we can go today."]
Fu Hua didn't feel surprised by Otto's sudden voice, she just said coldly.
"There is nothing to be proud from looking at the memories of others, Overseer Otto."
Otto then joked with Fu Hua.
["Don't be so cold. What I'm doing here is to help you. Memory reconstruction is indeed risky, if there's no outside guidance, it's very dangerous if you get stuck in 'Mind place' alone."]
Fu Hua listened to Otto's words seriously before asking.
"So why bring me back to the Clouded Monastery?"
Otto then answered Fu Hua's question. ["Memory reconstruction must be done gradually. We can only return to memories that leave a strong impression."]
After saying that Otto was silent before saying.
["...It seems, 500 years is the limit of your surface memory storage. We have to find something that can trigger your deeper memory back."]
Hearing Otto's words, Fu Hua then thought.
'Let's explore first.'
Fu hua checked everything in the hut from chair, ancient painting, letter and so on, but she didn't find a strong impression of any of them.
"I've checked everything here. They're just normal stuff. I can't find anything that sticks out in my memory."
Otto stared at the screen showing Fu Hua's brain waves.
["Sensors didn't detect any changes in your brainwaves... Looks like our goal isn't here."]
"I told you, I already forgot about it."
["Trust in human memory Fu Hua. Even if you forget sometimes, but memories don't disappear so easily. Try looking outside the hut, but.... Hurry up."]
"Why?" Fu Hua asked.
Otto replied, ["Because staying in your Memory for a long time can have a bad effect, so you have to come back before 30 minutes."]
"Huh?! Such an important thing, why did you just say it?"
Hearing Fu Hua's words, Otto confidently said. ["It's okay, I will protect you."]
Fu Hua doesn't believe Otto's words at all but after heard that she then came out, she checked the surroundings before finding a temple above the valley.
Seeing the shrine she quickly ran towards the place while fighting several monsters.
After a few minutes Fu Hua looked at the temple in front of her which looked old and almost collapse.
Otto who followed Fu Hua's point of view then said. ["This temple is very cold and derelict. There's no one here. I guess you have more friends in this hometown of yours."]
Fu Hua who heard Otto's words was silent for a moment, before speaking calmly.
"Perhaps you will choose to live alone if you can live long enough."
Otto laughed at Fu Hua's words. ["Hahaha you're right too, I did live alone all this time."]
Fu Hua was already at the door of the Temple before politely entering inside. Inside there was nothing but a clay statue that was being placed at the end of the Temple.
The clay statue had a face similar to Fu Hua.
["A clay Statue. Is there anything special about this thing?"]
"..."
Fu Hua stared at the clay statue for a moment before saying.
"I don't know why I can remember this thing. Maybe this statue is related to the possessor of the 'Sphere'."
Then Fu Hua seemed to remember something even though it was vague.
"Hmm… Looks like someone gave this statue to me."
*Glitches!*
Suddenly the surrounding scenery instantly changed, Fu Hua was now standing in a boundless dark red room.
She looked around calmly and alertly, before asking. "Otto, where is this?"
Otto replied calmly, ["This place is a memory fragment. These things appear when memories are lost. We have to go through this place to go to the deeper memories."]
"…Is this also part of my memory?"
["That's right. The memory in this place has lost it's form and content, everything has become a divided world of imagination."]
Otto then continued, ["But... This is the first time I've seen fragments of memory separated. It seems your life... Must be very boring."]
Fu Hua was silent, not responding to Otto's words.
She just walked forward through this dark red room while fighting the monsters that appeared, these monsters were randomly shaped, some were robots, some were Honkai Beasts, and some were Zombies.
On the way, Otto's voice suddenly appeared in her mind again.
["Do you remember who the one who make the clay statue earlier?"]
Fu Hua stopped her moves for a moment to think before saying with sparkling eyes.
"…Yes! I remember, Nuwa made it!"
["Nuwa, the ancient Shenzhou Goddess of creation...Mother of heaven, earth and all creation..."]
After saying that Otto's voice disappeared for a moment before appearing again.
["That statue... It looks like it looks just like you... looks like She's the same as you... Someone who survived the Previous ERA, doesn't it? "]
"Yes." Fu Hua confirmed.
["So she's connected to those dimensions... Very interesting."]
(A/N: on here Otto was actually being sarcastic, because he had actually met the real goddess (Will of Honkai).)
Otto continued, ["People treat events that cannot be explained by exact science as miracles. But actually it was just a Science that went beyond the scope of their understanding. "]
Fu Hua who was listening to Otto's words while walking suddenly stop and looked back with a wary expression.
"WHO! "
There was nothing behind her, empty and desolate, she was alone in this space of memory fragments.
["What happened Fu Hua?"]
Otto just now saw Fu Hua's brain waves suddenly become unstable.
"No, it's fine."
'Is it just my illusion?'
Fu Hua turned around and continued her journey until she reached a deeper place of memory and disappear.
She didn't notice that there was a silhouette of someone staring at her from afar before disappearing.
The silhouette of that person was wearing a kind of cloak that made his face invisible, only his purple eyes were visible because they were shining brightly.
