***ADDIE'S POV*** 

When I was calm enough, we all took our seats. The Goddess formed a floating chair of clouds and light for herself next to me. Nolan and I sat on the thrones atop the raised dais. And the others sat in the front row of the benches, watching us with varying expressions.

They had all agreed to make me their Empress, which was flattering, but I wasn't sure why they had unanimously decided to do it so easily and readily. Not a single one of them had reservations or misgivings about the entire process.

Now, they were either looking determined or elated as they watched me from the short distance separating us. It made me feel uneasy, but there wasn't much I could say or do about it. This was my new life, apparently. At least I had allies and friends here to help me.
