"Addie, to what do I owe the pleasure of your call today?" Holmes's voice was chipper and happy when he answered the call on the magic mirror. Then he saw the look on mine and Nolan's faces and his face fell. "What is it? What's happened?"

Fear. Panic. Worry. Concern. So many emotions fluttered across his face, and it made me feel a little better. Seeing the love in his eyes, the way he seemed to care about me and Nolan, relaxed me just a little.

"We have encountered a problem on the road. Something you need to be made aware of."

"What happened, Addie? Are you alright? Did anyone get hurt? Do you need my assistance?"

"None of us have been harmed. However, we were attacked."

"Attacked?" Holmes, who had been sitting in his desk chair, leapt to his feet at the revelation. "Why attacked you? Some of my people? They will be punished for this."
