**NOLAN'S POV**

Slowly, our group positioned themselves to block the way deeper into the mountains, and then we started to prepare the magic. I was taking a little bit of inspiration from Addie at this point, and I was happy that I had the mana level to pull this off.

I slowly wove my magic into a barrier that was just beyond the cave entrance. I had put my head around the curve and looked to see what was up ahead. That had been when I saw the opening and the path beyond. Unless there were more of them outside, which was unlikely given that I had seen all eight vampires, they would be trapped inside of the cave that they were sitting in.

It was time for us to get ready for the showdown. And I wasn't going to give them the chance to do or say anything in response at the moment. They would be taken by surprise and stopped before they even knew what was up.
