**ADDIE'S POV**

    This had already been a longer trip than I had thought that it would be. We were already into the beginning of summer, and we weren't back home yet. At least we were more than half done, that had to count for something. I just hoped that I made it home in time for my birthday.

    Yes, I realize that my birthday isn't really the day that I know it as, but it is the only day that I can celebrate it on, because no one alive knows when I was actually born. I am stuck with the day that I have had for almost twenty years now. I didn't mind though. That was the start of the life as I know it now. The day that my parents took me in as their own little girl and decided to raise me in the place of their lost little girl.
