**ADDIE'S POV**
The next part of the celebration was upper and lower city variations of the ritualistic words that rang in the new year. The upper city went first again, just as they had the last time. And the group that was now on the stage were all women. They were all dressed in a uniform manner, just like the dancers had been. This time they were wearing dresses rather than voluminous pants and shirts. This was likely because they weren't going to be moving throughout the air and didn't need to worry about being modest like the others had.
The dresses were clearly expensive and well made. They were primarily white this time, with red and black designs that swirled around the dresses. I could make out small images that looked like swirling wind and warming fires. It was the perfect thing to signify a cold and snowy winter.
