Alex had just taken a step towards Ibn-e-Batuta when he slipped and fell on his back. And it was all because of the new shiny black shoes with pointed toes that he bought today for this dinner. And now he regretted listening to his mother. It was his mother who recommended the shoes after she had seen the same on some fashion show.
