They won but the bitter taste left in the mouths of Red Orbs' werewolves was so strong that they couldn't help but think that they had stayed at the same point.

For the leader, Krasny Licht, it was even a feeling of total failure that had invaded him as soon as the last member of the alliance between the Society of Hunters and the WIA was tackled to the ground by the rebel agents. His fighters, meanwhile, had successfully subdued the werewolves controlled by Black's energy and had locked them inside several of the strongest buildings in the city whose entrances and windows were now guarded.

The sound of an electric current, at first weak then increasingly loud, was heard from where the circle of runes was. Since they had not shone for several hours, the alpha snapped his head and stood to check if he heard well before rushing forward with a drumming heart, faint hope swelling in his chest.
