Michael and Ymir continued to experiment with her abilities, eventually revealing the seemingly limitless potential of it. They'd discovered that the density of the titan's skin, flesh, and bones was dependent on the density of the sand used in its creation.
This was one of the reasons damp sand was a far better material to use, even if it took more blood from Ymir to manifest. From there they created an assortment of creatures, dogs, cats, fish, birds... The only thing separating them from the actual animals they were created after were their human faces.
Ymir's creations required humanoid faces for some reason or another, making it almost impossible to create spy animals... Though, for insects like flies, the human faces weren't all that noticeable... The giant insects they created however? Those things were fucking horrifying... Like Koh the Face Stealer times a thousand.
The titans they created with extremely compressed sand were incredibly powerful. The sand needed to remain as granules for it to work, meaning there was only so much pressure that could be applied before things started to melt. Regardless, they were left with titans that had completely bone-like skin, like that of the Armoured Titan. They were slightly slower than their less armoured variants, but Michael sincerely doubted that any regular person in Tamriel could kill one.
Their stupidly fast regenerative abilities, stupidly high defences, and stupidly high strength made them a nightmare for regular armies to deal with. If Ymir had been creating these instead of the regular titans in her original world, no one would have survived. Marley's guns and artillery would have literally bounced off of them.
The new flying titans were also a force to be reckoned with, they'd experimented between harpy-like creatures but eventually settled on simple hawk shapes, since they were the most effective in general. Extremely fast, extremely dangerous, if somewhat weak to damage... But, that didn't matter much since they retained the same regenerative abilities other titans did.
Speaking of which... Back in Ymir's world, most titans were a result of Eldians being transformed, leaving their napes as their weak points... This wasn't for true pure titans that hadn't originally been humans... The weak point for these ones was now their brains, which were actually more protected than ever...
Napes were soft and fragile on normal titans, but brains? They were protected by thing skin and skulls, the Scout Corps wouldn't have been able to leave the walls if this was the case back then. Their blades broke on just titan skin, let alone bone matter.
Last but certainly not least was the special abilities of the shifters. Michael was sure they could be recreated by Ymir if she wished it so, and it turned out he was right, if at the cost of significantly more blood. The ability to turn flesh into crystal, the ability to summon titans with a roar, the ability to crush almost anything, the ability to create matter... The only real issue was the titan's limited intelligence.
The only way they'd found to increase it was to drastically ramp up the size of their skulls, making them pretty useless for combat. Michael had thought to make bodiless titans that were only made up of giant heads... Ymir would grant them the Hammer Titan's abilities and Micahel would bury them around places to act as horrifying living mines... Kind of like Sarlacc pits come to think of it?
The most important thing however was their ability to recreate the 'wall titans' Colossal titans that could harden their skin and create giant walls at will... This was particularly apparent when the entire world suddenly declared war on Winterhold...
--------------------------
"So... What're we looking at here?" Michael questions as he walks into the meeting hall with Ymir hanging off of his back. He sits down in his usual spot next to his friends, Megumin, Saya, Saeko, Charlotte, Maria... Tiffania was sat further away, but he was sure he was whittling down her displeasure at him, judging by the appraising looks she snuck at him. Presents were a way to a girl's heart, she must have enjoyed having thousands of refugees dropped on the orphanage's doorstep...
Ennura scowls at the head seat, "What are we looking at?" she parrots while someone rolls out a map of both Skyrim and Tamriel as a whole. "We're fucked, that's what we're looking at. I thought it was just bad luck in our old world, but it's happening again!" she exclaims as she starts slamming down coloured pieces onto the map.
"The Arch-Mage has helpfully informed us of just who is attacking us-, or well, it'd be a shorter list to note who ISN'T attacking. Cyrodil has declared war on us, Winterhold specifically, with Surtr as its new Emperor. That means every other Hold in Skyrim, all of Highrock, and probably Hammerfell to given his declaration of war against the Thalmor too." the points at the Eastern border, "The only positive in this is that we're not on the border with Morrowind, otherwise they might've attacked us as well!"
"This is ridiculous! Why only us? And why would Skyrim listen to Surtr after what he did in Solstheim?" Saya angrily questions.
One of the merchants that'd transferred all of his wealth to Winterhold sneers at her with anxiously bared teeth, "Oh, I think we all know that by now." he looks over at Michael, "Your rivalry with the 'Emperor' is well known, plus the Priests of the Divines all over Tamriel declaring a Holy Crusade against the invading 'Daedric Prince'."
Michael quirks a brow at him, "You're quite brave then, aren't you? Talking shit to the face of a Daedric Lord." he quietly retorts while flaring his magic slightly, causing the red-faced man to pale and almost topple out of his chair in sheer terror.
"Michael! Not helping!" Ennura shouts while tossing a coloured piece at him, the thing awkwardly bouncing off of his forehead.
"Keep the Gold-Mutts quiet and we'll be good." he shrugs, all as Ymir sits in his lap and begins playing with the coloured piece.

"I mean, even with all this, we're still safe right? The Spire's defences render any invasion useless." Saya states, and a few people around the table nod.
"About that..." Michael speaks up, "They've got a Void Mage with them. An old enemy called Louise Valliere..."
"What's a Void Mage?" Ennura questions, never having heard of such a thing in either worlds.
"Essentially, it's a super mage or can bypass any barriers and unleash explosions larger than Megumin..." he states, getting an annoyed huff from the explosion-girl.
"Aye, that be the same girl who sent my tsunami back at us?" Kunkka asks.
Michael nods, "Yeah, the Spire won't do anything if she nukes it before the fight even starts. Don't forget they'll have thousands of mages with them, plus dragons and Surtr who's presumably been empowered by Miraak's soul."
"If she can bypass all barriers, how do we stop them from destroying the Spire? You said before that if it goes down Nirn's in big trouble..."
"Well, I kind of linked Akatosh's barrier with the Spire, they strengthen one another, but if one goes down so does the other... That'd allow just about every Daedric Prince to come on through and fuck everyone's day."
The listeners pale at that, "You mean you've risked all of Nirn to increase your own power?! We were fine before that blasted thing went up!"
Michael snorts, "No you weren't. Did none of you notice the Blood Moon and the Daedric Champions running around causing chaos? Or the Daedric Lords casually throwing Daedric Artifacts to random people? What about the vampires? Did all of you forget so easily? Stop blaming me for trying to fix things before they all fell apart and concentrate on keeping things functioning properly. Worst comes to worst, I abandon Nirn with all my buddies while hanging out drinking martinis and playing poker in my own realm."
Tiffania raises her hand as the Thane grumbles at his remark, "Erm, I could stop Louise from destroying the tower." she holds up Brimir's Prayerbook for show, "I know of a spell that nullifies any magic in an area. If I use it on the Spire she wouldn't be able to touch it."
A few people nod at the idea but Michael just shakes his head, "Nullifying magic means nullifying ALL magic. The tower will become inert and Akatosh's barrier will crumble all the same. I wouldn't be surprised if the Daedric Princes were waiting for a precise moment to invade."
Tiffania lets out a sigh at that ruined idea. "Then, I just need to cast it on Louise herself?" she offers.
"If we could get that chance, why wouldn't we just kill her there and then?" Michael retorts, "You stick to blowing up their armies, I'll try stop Louise if Anti-Mage and Silencer aren't able." he states.
"I thought Silencer was dead?" one man on the table asks.
Michael shrugs, "I can resurrect those I summon, while they're not technically undead, I do hold control of their souls instead of it inhabiting their bodies like usual. Before you ask, I'm not able to free them, even if I could I'd hold off on it until after the invasion, for insurance." he adds.
Ymir pokes him in the side and pats the table meaningfully, "Ah, right... Ymir and I have been playing with sand lately... In case I forget to mention it, she's a foreign god of Life and Creation or something like that-"
"Wha-at!?" Ennura exclaims, baffled, "You brought a god into the city without telling us!?"
"To be fair, none of you would have ever known if shit wasn't hitting the fan." he pokes Ymir in the cheek which has her pouting at him, "She's too cute to start causing trouble anyway."
"That's not what I mean-"
"ANYWAY. Ymir has the ability to bring to life any construction made of sand, we've been creating giant humanoids with it, but we need more hands to create something like, say, an army." he says, causing most people to lean forward in interest, "Not only that, we could construct a massive wall surrounding Winterhold out of these creatures, a wall strong enough to endure most spells and siege weapons they could throw. Even dragons would take a while to get through, without mentioning the living breathing giants waiting inside the walls."
"That sounds... Unbelievably convenient." Saya remarks, "Did you know this was coming?" she questions.
"Not really, I mean with Surtr I knew he'd come for me eventually, the self-righteous egotistically douchebag he is, but I didn't think he'd bring most of Tamriel with him." he shrugs.
Ennura looks down at the map and hums in thought, "Hmm, we could build the wall but that would still leave our port open to attack... The dragons too are an issue."
"The port'll be fine. What's left of our navy can take whatever that fake-dragon can cobble together." Kunkka states, "We all saw how stupid he is in matters concerning the sea, even if we start having trouble, the Spire'll be right there to take the pressure off."
"If I can't deal with Louise then I'll have Spectre do it for me, I think..." Michael offers.
"Spectre?"
"Ah, Mercurial, show yourself." he calls out, and behind him the purple shadowy figure manifests into existence behind him, her bright glowing blue eyes scanning the room. "This is Spectre, don't annoy her because she could probably take on a Daedric Prince for maybe a minute or two..."
...
"Were you just never going to reveal her existence? Or did you 'forget' again?"
"It'd be dumb to tell everyone about my bodyguard now, wouldn't it? Besides, I'm showing her now." he shakes his head, "Let's start working out the specific troop placements, and we should probably get started on titan construction immediately."
