บท 5: Chapter 5: Doubt and Quirk Center (Rewrite)

"Hnggggggg!" Waking up from a comfortable sleep, Blake stretched out the pleasant feelings inside.

He stood up and headed to the kitchen for a glass of water to get rid of the bad taste in his mouth.

Ring! Ring! Ring!

While Blake was enjoying the warm water, his phone started ringing.

"Hm?" Blake frowned. As far as he remembers, that wasn't the ringtone on his phone.

He picked up his phone while he was sipping water.

[Yamamoto: Blake-kun, I asked the host to hang the school uniform on the doorknob. Besides, school starts at 9:30, and the car will pass at 9:00 where I threw the position. I'm sorry to say late.]

"School? Didn't I freeze my school? And who is this Yamamoto?... WAIT!!'' Death, reincarnation, home placement... The information began to flood into Blake's brain, and when he remembered he had school, he completely got rid of his sleep dizziness.

"My perfect absenteeism record!"" Habits don't come easy, they say, and although Blake has decided to put his past life behind him, it was changing when it came to his perfect absenteeism record.

Blake never once in his school life has been willingly absent or late. Even though he hadn't been to school in nearly two years, the prospect of being late made Blake feel uncomfortable.

He put the glass on the table. He quickly ran to the door, opened the door, and after receiving the package hanging from the door handle, he began to change his top where it was. He had one eye on the clock as he randomly threw clothes on the floor and put his school uniform on.

[8:50]

He had 10 minutes. If he got dressed fast and started running, he could still make it.

Blake got his phone and went out in two minutes after he was dressed. After descending the stairs in series of steps, it took 2 minutes for the building to leave its plot and reach the end of the street.

[8:55]

He turned right and started running straight. When he got to the end of the street, he turned left.

[8:57]

Blake kept running. For some reason he was fine, his breathing frequency was normal and he wasn't sweating. But he didn't have a chance to think about it. He had already returned from the end of the street and the school vehicle, which is now advancing, entered his sights.

"Stop! I'm on my way." He tried to scream from behind, but the car wouldn't stop. When he saw the vehicle moving further and further away, the thought of giving up filled his mind.

"Oh, I guess there's nothing I can do." As his steps gradually slowed down, he heard a strange noise.

Bzzt!!

Blake's vision is blurred. The next second, his location changed.

Tsss!

The sound of the car door filled his ears. From his widened eyes, the driver's half-confused, the half-angry image was reflected.

"Oi, Boy! You can't use your Quirk like that. Didn't your parents teach you that? You're going to get me in trouble." The driver screamed. It was a felony to use Quirk in public.

"I'm sorry." Blake bowed his head in amazement and burst into thoughts. The thing that just happened was that he was playing in his brain all the time, and his head was full of thoughts. He wasn't in a position to mess with the driver.

"Haahh... Okay, go to your place. Don't ever do that again. You could get in trouble." The driver misunderstood why Blake was tilting his head. According to him, he thought the reason Blake kept his head down was to apologize.

Blake shook his head in a monotonous manner and took to the back seat amid whispers from students who gave him strange glances.

'What just happened?'' Blake tried to make sense of what happened, but he couldn't. No matter how much he thinks about it, what just happened shouldn't have happened.

Could he have accidentally used his Quirk? Blake rejected that notion, and if that happened, he'd feel a little tired.

If that's not the case, then he had a second Quirk? That seemed impossible, too. Blake wasn't sure about the others, but his Quirk count was steady. The paper clearly said there was one, and it didn't have a trick.

Then what was it?

''I heard a sound like"' Bzztt", it sounded like an electric sound... Electricity... Instant speed... Lightning!?'' The thought train brought an impossible thought to Blake's mind. The thought seemed meaningless and impossible at first, but given what happened on the last day, it was just as possible.

'I've got to see it somehow to come to my conclusion.' Blake put his hand against the small ledge next to the glass amid his deep thoughts and began to watch outside amid the car shake that shook his body.

The school vehicle continued to move to the school, picking up the students, and arrived at the school after half an hour.

The school had four floors and almost ten classrooms on each floor. The school's land was pretty big. There was a football and a basketball court, as well as a large plot of land reserved for Quirk tests.

The car stopped, Blake got off after the students and started looking around.

As Blake looked around, the bell rang. After the principal gave a speech, they dispersed into the classrooms.

Blake took classes and started taking notes. But his grades were not normal lecture notes, he just took notes of the syllabus and important things like that.

As for the grades of the courses, he did not look at any course except Japanese history and Japanese Thanks to the nonstop study regime in middle school, he didn't need to care about the lessons. Although he didn't get a full score on each course, he was sure he'd get the highest grade.

But when it came to Japanese history and Japanese, Blake was 100% sure he'd screw up. Because in his previous life, he had no interest in Japan or its history.

Anyway, classes and recesses took turns, and it's time for lunch.

After blake bought himself some food, he wandered around looking for a place to sit, and then he found a remote place to sit alone.

Chomp!

Blake was eating a spoonful of his rice, and he started thinking about what happened today. Or rather, he was thinking about his hypothesis. If his opinion proves correct, he could even be invincible, let alone number one in this world.

He just had to approve and...

"Tamaki, this place looks empty. Let's eat here." A voice that was cheerful, bright, and could only feel his smile in his voice interrupted Blake's thoughts.

"A-But Mirio, there's someone here." The other talking voice was just as bleak, cowardly, and timid. Blake could tell that the owner of the voice was instinctively startled when he spoke of himself, even if he could only hear his voice.

"Nothing happens. It's just one person. Let's sit down."

"O-Ok."

Blake turned his head where the two voices came from and saw two people.

One of them was a young man with blue eyes and blonde hair. His shoulder-length hair was gathered in a ponytail. The black school outfit fit perfectly into her well-structured body and his exposed arms were full of injuries.

The most striking feature of the youngster was his natural smile as if clinging to his face.

The other young man was just as different from the blonde teen. It would be more accurate to say the opposite. The brighter, friendlier, and happier the blond-haired youngster looked, the more bleak, timid, and dark this person seemed.

The tall teenager had spiky navy blue hair and elf-like pointed ears. His posture was slightly hunched, but Blake thought it suited him just right.

"We're sorry to bother you, but can we sit here?" Tamaki straightened his hand and apologized as he aligned it on his face.

"Ok, I don't have a problem with that." Blake shook his head and went back to eat the food in front of him.

"Thank you."

The two sat down at the table. They put the dinner plates in front of them and started eating. Especially the blond-haired young man, eating with big bites as if there was no tomorrow.

"Gulp*" Mirio put his spoon in the dinner plate after eating the last bite and turned to his friend. "Come on, Tamaki. You said you'd show me your Quirk, didn't you?''

"Eh? Chomp*'' Tamaki made a bewildered sound as he swallowed the third bite of his meal.

"Will I do it here? B-But Mirio...'' Tamaki tried to explain himself. Honestly, he didn't want to show his Quirk. He thought he was going to screw it up again and he was going to be humiliated.

He could handle a little humiliation towards others, but he was very reserved for Mirio. Because Mirio was very optimistic about his Quirk, even more so than the Quirk owner himself. Tamaki didn't want to disappoint the starry eyes that looked at him.

"Come on, don't do it like this. Come on, show me. You promised, didn't you?'' Mirio poked his friend's arm with excitement that he couldn't hold in his heart.

"U-Uhhh... Okay, I'm going to have to.'' Tamaki sighed with defeat. There was no way he was going to win against Mirio.

He put his spoon on the plate and raised his hand. After his eyes were fixed on his hand for a while, he closed tightly.

Blake was listening to the pair's conversations, and when he heard Tamaki show off his Quirk, he was intrigued. The Quirks and what they could do made you wonder and the childish excitement in you would burn his heart.

"Hngg." With a slight murmur, a small plant sprout was high from Tamaki's hand. The size of the sprout continued to grow past the size of a human finger and eventually stopped.

"That's it," Tamaki laughed hollowly, belittled. He was doing a little more than anything, as he expected Quirk to be.

"Oh!!"" Unlike him, Mirio began waving his hands tightly in fists, as if he had accomplished something big.

Tamaki gave his friend a strange look. He couldn't figure out what was good about what he was showing. All he did was a little more than anything.

"Very beautiful, Tamaki."

"Fascinating."

When Blake expressed his heart, Tamaki and Mirio turned to him. There was an obvious shock on their faces, especially Tamaki's face.

"Fascinating? Is that what you think?'' Mirio put his hands on the table and stood up as his friend Quirk was praised. He didn't care about the looks on himself, and he looked Blake in the eye.

Tamaki's Quirk was a beautiful Quirk for Mirio, and after hearing the details from Tamaki, he thought he had great potential. But he was the only one who thought of it, not even Quirk's owner, let alone his friends and teachers.

Mirio was glad that eventually, someone other than himself could see the fascinating image and potential behind Tamaki's Quirk. Potential aside, just the praise of his friend's Quirk was enough to make him happy for Tamaki.

"Yes, it is. It's fascinating." Blake expressed his frank opinions and shook his head. I mean, come on, the boy in front of him had just made a plant sprout on human skin. How not to be surprised?

"Mirio Togata, you can call me Mirio." Mirio wanted to meet this person who appreciated his friend. With an iconic smile on his face, he extended his hand to Blake.

"Blake. Just Blake."' Blake didn't turn down the hand that was extended to him.

Mirio pulled his hand back before turning his eyes to Tamaki. Tamaki continued to look at Blake with enlarged eyes. When he saw Mirio looking at him, he tilted his head to the side and whispered to his friend.

'What's the matter?'

'Introduce yourself'

"N-No, I don't want to."

'Come on, don't do that. Introduce yourself.'

'N-N-No.'

''...''

''...''

"I'm Tamaki Amajiki, just say Tamaki." Tamaki lost, again. He had never won against Mirio before, and it looked like this losing streak would continue.

''Blake.''

The trio talked until Tamaki and Blake had finished their meal. When their meal was finished, Blake and then the two stood up and said their class to each other before going their separate ways.

After Blake took the class, his time was rather slow, except for lessons that were not Japanese or Japanese history.

After a few hours, the lessons are finally over and it's time to go home. Blake left the class after making sure he didn't forget anything.

It took him half an hour to get home, and when he got home, he started picking up the mess.

[Blake: Yamamoto-san, I need a place to study my Quirk.]

[Yamamoto: Oh, considering you just found out about your Quirk yesterday, you're a little too fast.]

[Blake: Haha, I'm just so excited.]

[Yamamoto: Ok, wait for me at home.]

[Blake: Teşekkürler.]

After Blake arranged something to drink, he waited. The wait didn't last long, Yamamoto arrived after 2 hours. After Blake offered Yamamoto something to drink, they got in his car.

"Blake-kun, where I'm going to take you is called ''Quirk Center'' It looks like a gym, but the one for the Quirks, that's why he got such a name. Make sure you remember your location well, I'm sure there will be a place in the future where you will often go."

"It exists in a place like this," he told Blake when he thought about it now. Not everyone in the world, like their main character and peers, had enough money, luck, or good Quirks to train at U.A. facilities.

People like that had to improve in some way. They had to improve themselves, both for the sake of passion and for their work, and if Quirk Hall had a reasonable price, it would be the best place for them.

"We're here." After a 10-minute drive, the two came to a building near the city center. They came to a 20-story building with black filtered glass on the outside and the banner above it reading "Quirk Center" in black gold lettering.

"Follow me," the two entered the building, led by Yamamoto. The receptionist covered the entire first floor of the building.

"Hi, I signed up for "Blake" about half an hour ago. My name is Yamamoto."

The receptionist quickly checked the records. When he saw Yamamoto's recording was there, he turned to the pair with a professional smile.

"Yes, there is one recording in Mr.Blake's name. If Mr.Blake is the person next to you, we can complete his registration as long as he cooperates with us."

Blake shook his head and began answering questions from the receptionist. After five minutes, the recording was complete.

"Thank you for choosing us, Mr.Blake.'' The receptionist, in good faith, handed Blake the registration card.

"Mmh...". Blake confirmed it and headed upstairs with Yamamoto.

Blake's training room was on the 17th floor. Although his room was on the upper floors, there was no feature. Every inch of each floor was the same as the other. It was as if the engineer who built the building had overdone the copy-and-paste.

Blake stopped when he came to the door of the room. From here Yamamoto would not follow him, so he decided to say what was inside him.

''Yamamoto-san, thank you once again for everything. I'll make sure I pay for it." The unknown cost of the house, the school registration, the Quirk Hall registration, and in the future, the expenses that could be incurred until Blake had access to the money to handle himself and to be paid by Yamamoto, Blake's debt to Yamamoto would gradually increase.

Blake was definitely going to pay it off. Money or favors would make sure he paid Yamamoto back, regardless of what happened.

"I don't need your payment. A young man like you should enjoy his youth. The elders should take care of the money and expenses. So don't ever thank me again or say you're going to pay." Yamamoto frowned and spoke in a firm voice. He didn't like the naïve kid playing hard.

"Okay, I'm not going to say it again." Knowing that no matter what he said, he was rejected by Yamamoto, and he was obedient before he came in.

But only he knew he swore he'd pay it back.

After the vows, Blake checked into the floor. He didn't have much expectation at first, but when he walked in, he exhaled in amazement.

It didn't show much from the outside, but it was huge inside. While the floor-to-ceiling length was almost 20 meters, the inside had an extremely spacious structure. And not only that, the area where it was found was half the floor, the other half was separated by a large, black wall.

Blake got out of his surprise and began walking into the "private" room he had reserved for himself.

It's called private because it's not personal, it's because it's special to Quirk. This meant that this room was specially built for quirks that could harm the surroundings or the environment. It was used in the construction of the walls of the room with stainless, dirt-resistant, and resistant to explosions, abrasions, etc.

These rooms were on the other side of the black wall that separated half the floor. Half the floor was used entirely for these rooms.

But that's not why Blake chose this place.

The real reason was that there were no cameras or anything like that in this room.

This "Quirk Center" is also called "QYM". I can use it in sometimes.

Don't forget to give power stones if you liked it, also don't forget to "review" the series. And if you liked it, add to library
