บท 94: Kenjaku?
"Kenjaku?" Malenia muttered shocked at this.
"They're fighting each other now?" Choso who said this had the same shocked look that Malenia had.
They could never fathom what was going on in that head of his.
"Everyone fall back, we're not going to fight." Shoko said catching everyone's attention. Her gaze was directed to Kashimo. "That's including you, farmboy."
"Farmboy?!" Kashimo blurted out in anger.
"You'll have your chance. Hell, you might even thank me for doing this. So suck it up for a bit." She said making Kashimo click his tongue, but back down.
"Fine." Kashimo said before sitting down with his cross legs and sitting in a meditative pose. His cursed energy around him crackled with lightning before turning blue.
Her attention turned to Kenjaku and Sukuna facing each other off. "I just hope nothing worse happens."
"Why are you here, Kenjaku?" Sukuna questioned Kenjaku who had just jumped off his dragon-cursed spirit.
"Well my friend, I am here to give you a challenge. After all, isn't that what you've always sought? You certainly aren't going to get that challenge from these... people." Kenjaku at the end mocked the attack force.
"Keke... that's true. Your offsprings aren't really worth much."
"What do you expect? Children are made to disappoint their parents." Kenjaku said, but suddenly, his body froze and his eyes turned white. His body kept twitching uncontrollably.
"What?" Sukuna frowned seeing this abnormal change.
Kenjaku's expression slowly turned to normal and he smiled. "No... nothing." He said acting as if nothing happened. "I was just mimicking what the 'brat''s expression was when Mahito killed Nanami. It was pretty enjoyable."
"Hehe, so it really is you. I doubted for a moment whether you really were him.
"Oh, I am as real as one can get." Kenjaku said as black smoke appeared around him. Multiple Special grade cursed spirits emerged from the smoke. All directing their hostilities towards Sukuna.
"Although I want this fight, I also want another. More than this one." Sukuna said catching Kenjaku's attention.
"I know. You want the accomplishment of Tengen's merge with humanity. I'll give you that authority, that is if you beat me."
"If you die, then how will the authority be given to me?"
"Kogane, give full authority on the merger of Tengen to Fushiguro Megumi if I lose this fight."
"Okay!" Kogane answered making Sukuna smile.
"At least I won't be bored when I'm done with you." Sukuna smirked as he brought up his cursed energy.
"Don't worry, I'll be putting up a good fight." Kenjaku said as his cursed spirits readied themselves to pounce on Sukuna.
Sukuna shot a slash at Kenjaku who diverted the attack with his palm using [Domain Amplification]. The attack made a red line in his hand drawing blood, but he quickly healed with [Reverse Cursed Energy].
"Hopefully." Sukuna said before a sea of cursed spirits rushed at him.
Sukuna backed away and kept shooting [Dismantles] at the wave of cursed spirits, but the number didn't dwindle fast enough for him. His eyes then locked up where Kenjaku was riding a dragon.
"Amazon Prime delivery." Kenjaku said as he opened his palm dropping a mass goo.
Sukuna dodged the attack and watched the spirit form itself into its true form.
[Special Grade Cursed Spirit: Maip!]
A bird-like creature emerged from the black smoke. Its body was filled with eye sockets yet lacked the eyes, with wings rainbowed and colored yet too small to aid in its flying. Its mouth opened wide as multiple tongues emerged from the mouth.
Sukuna barely paid attention to it as he sent a slash at its neck aiming to kill it, but Kenjaku appeared next to it and used the lesser cursed spirits as a shield to protect it.
The bird opened its mouth and screeched at Sukuna.
"Urh!" Sukuna groaned as he heard the awful noise that was focused on him. His hands covered his ears, but then he felt the wind cut his body. They were small, but he felt the cuts being made all over his body. And he felt the wind growing stronger and stronger, this was an attack that grew in strength over time.

Kenjaku who aimed to combine both cursed spirits attacked together and prepared himself, but Sukuna wasn't going to just let himself be attacked.
[Domain Amplification!]
Activating the technique, Sukuna's wounds lessened, but he was not done.
[Dragon Scale. Recoil. Twin Meteors. World Dismantle!]
Both mouths made the incantations at the same time reducing the necessary time to prepare the attack. Kenjaku ducked just in time as the slash came horizontally slashing the cursed spirits in half.
"Damn monster. He's grown even stronger." Kenjaku spurted out but retained his smile.
But his focus was directed at the special grades made Sukuna open to the lower grades. His arms and legs were now tangled in giant centipedes. Kenjaku threw a punch that hit Sukuna square in the face.
"Why don't you use that flame of yours, these cursed spirits wouldn't stand a chance if you did."
"Heh. I don't need to use that yet." Sukuna regained his balance and was about to send a flurry of slashes at Kenjaku, but he used his technique in time.
[Cursed Technique Reversal: Gravity!]
Sukuna laid down on his face due to the change in gravity which increased exponentially.
"Fooh." Kenjaku breathed out a sense of relief even for a moment.
However, rather than feeling humiliated at the moment, Sukuna was busy observing everything.
'He's not moving. No, he can't move.' Sukuna thought and confirmed his theory on Kenjaku's technique. His eyes wandered to the cursed spirits around him. 'They're not approaching him at a radius of around 3 meters. The duration... 4... 5... 6.'
Just then, the technique ended giving Sukuna the knowledge he now needed. 'Now there's a cooldown, he'll use his cursed spirits to buy him the time necessary, but I won't give him that!'
Sukuna knew what he needed to do, he needed to get close to Kenjaku. Sukuna swatted the cursed spirits away and attacked Kenjaku. He managed to block the first strike, but the relentless pummelling that Sukuna was giving him was overwhelming.
'Those four arms and four eyes are annoying.'
With his four eyes, making a secret play was hard as he could not gather Sukuna's full attention.
[Black Flash!]
"Puh!" Kenjaku spurted out blood as his gut was punched by two of Sukuna's arms. This strike should have sent Kenjaku reeling back, but instead, cursed spirits took the brunt of the attack and he grabbed Sukuna by the arm and smiled as an orb of mangled flesh floated beside him.
'A mini Uzumaki!'
The strike sent him falling back making the ground deformed by his hands holding onto it.
"Damn again." Kenjaku cursed as he saw Sukuna activate his [Domain Amplification] once again.
"Don't tell me that is all you have." Sukuna cracked his neck creating an audible crack.
Kenjaku shook his head while patting his gut which was healing. "Of course not. I'm not done yet."
"What are we doing? This is our chance! If Sukuna regains his output by using [Black Flashes] then we're all doomed. We should fight him now." Itadori tried to convince Shoko, but she shook her head.
"It's not over yet. If we go in there is a possibility that they pay attention to us. We should use Kenjaku to weaken Sukuna with all he has."
"What if this is a scheme they are using so that Sukuna recovers his output by [Black Flashes]?" Choso said but Shoko shook her head.
"Sukuna's reaction to this situation was real. This isn't a scheme nor a plot, but we do need to take caution."
"That they'll team up?" Malenia asked.
"No. That one of them wins because when that happens, they'll go after us." Shoko smiled bitterly. "I can't believe I'm saying this, but I hope Sukuna wins. That way we know he won't start the merger now. Or maybe..."
"What?" Itadori asked.
She thought of someone but put it in the back of her mind. This was not the time to think about someone else.
"Let's just hope it doesn't end in the way I think it will."
"Hm... I think it's about time." Kenjaku muttered only audible to himself.
He quickly ducked and weaved the incoming slashes before sending a flurry of cursed spirits at Sukuna who ripped them apart with his four arms. His speed increased as he ran up the side of the building.
The two clashed hands, but Kenjaku kept being pushed back.
[Maximum-]
[Dragon Scale. Recoil. Twin Meteors.-]
Together they prepared their most devastating attack aimed right at the other.
[World Dismantle!]
[Uzumaki!]
Their attacks clashed, though only for a moment as the bundle of cursed spirits was no match for Sukuna's attack. The slice went through Kenjaku's Uzumaki making Kenjaku narrowly dodge his face to the side causing a cut going through his cheek.
The slice continued and cut the top of the building they were at.
But just as Kenjaku was about to recover, Sukuna parted the way with his right fist pulled back.
[Black Flash!]
Sukuna landed his second [Black Flash], but Kenjaku cushioned the blow with his leg and both arms which sent him spinning like a wheel and crashing into the building.
"Damn." Kenjaku said as he saw both his arms' bones broken.
A shadow was then cast above his face and he saw the building falling on top of him.
The building crashed against Kenjaku burying him with debris.
The debris that was just about to fall onto him stopped and started floating. Walking out of the debris, Kenjaku played around with his broken arms before healing them and putting the bones back in place. When he got out in a safe distance, the floating debris fell.
The two looked at each other with no words being said, yet smiled with excitement. This fight was something that they had always thought of doing, but didn't have the chance to do as they had to focus on others.
But now, they were going to kill another.
These two were seasoned warriors. They knew that this was not going to determine their fight. What decides the battle between the greatest of sorcerers isn't their innate technique or planning.
It is their trump card.
Their strongest one.
And it is called-
