บท 14: Trouble!
The sudden arrival of a luxurious car with a famous European mark appeared to put an end to this awkward silence.
And the next moment the driver stepped out and hurriedly opened the door opposite to Anna in respect.
Anna crossed the car before pausing. She gazed at Ji Hoon with cold eyes before she wore her sun glasses again. "Come, you'll ride at the front," she said and her words made her guards startled.
Even the driver felt hesitant. He was also one of the werewolves, and he knew the temper of his alpha.
"My lady..." one of the guards tried to suggest something, and yet Anna simply ignored him and entered the car.
Ji Hoon stood in the middle of this, not knowing what to say or do. The driver gave him a hostile glance before he opened the door at the front without bowing.
"Please..." the driver said in a cold tone that helped Ji Hoon make up his mind. If the mysterious lady herself invited him to her car, why would he care about her minions.
And Ji Hoon simply rode the car in the front seat before the driver went to his seat and started driving the car.
Ji Hoon noticed in his side mirror that there were many familiar cars following them. They were like the ones he saw before last night when he trailed the car of this lady.
And yet this car wasn't like the same one he saw yesterday. And so he couldn't tell how the lady disappeared like magic last night.
"Where to my a... lady," the driver was about to make a slip of a tongue here and call Anna by her name.
Anna didn't remove her glasses while watching the face of Ji Hoon through the rear view mirror.
"To the theme park," she simply said and the driver nodded in recognition. "Ah, first stop by a shop," she said before adding, "a shop that sells cameras."
Ji Hoon's face didn't change when he heard that. He didn't care about having a new camera, and that seemed obvious to her.
The more she glared up at his face, the more she grew uneasy. As for him, her gazes never missed his sharp senses, and yet he faked his ignorance.
It would look suspicious to her if he turned and met her eyes. Along the way he kept moving his head around, as a little boy happy to be in a car.
In less than half an hour, the convoy of cars stopped by a famous store where all the latest cameras were sold at.
"C'mon," the driver said on behalf of Anna, who simply waited for the driver to open the door for her.
Just as she stepped on the pavement, many guards appeared as if they weren't away from her at all.
And she simply nodded towards the store and they instantly moved. Ji Hoon stepped out of the car on his own, as the driver didn't like the idea of a human sitting in the same car as his alpha.
Anna didn't move. She waited while her guards calmly evacuated the entire store off any customer and secured the place around.
This was something simply normal for her, but to Ji Hoon he couldn't help but show his surprise and doubt.
He wasn't faking it. He never thought this mysterious lady would be caring about her image to this degree.
That also reminded him of something. Despite him being so focused over the corp, he never had a hint or an image of her.
If not meeting her in person and seeing how others dealt with her, he would never think she was someone big and so influential inside the corp.
'Who the hell is she?' he couldn't help but wonder without any clue.
As for Anna, she kept her silence while her senses were fixed upon Ji Hoon. For her this human seemed more mysterious than any other human she met.
She couldn't shake off the feeling that the two of them met before. Despite not having any clue about that, she knew she should trust her instincts to the end.
"It's ready, my lady," one of the guards came and escorted Anna to inside the store.
And Ji Hoon followed without the need of anyone to tell him anything.
The store inside was spacious, with many stalls showing off the latest cameras and lenses plus many equipment.
"Welcome my esteemed lady," the owner of the shop welcomed Anna with his fat body. He was a middle aged man who seemed to be so happy today like he won the lottery. "How can I be of service to you today?" he asked while seeing Ji Hoon.
Ji Hoon purchased many of his gear from this store, and yet he never saw the owner smiling and acting in such a way to any customer before.
"Oh, it's mr. Ji," the owner recognized him at first glance. The look he gave Ji Hoon told Anna that he was a regular customer here.
"I want to buy a good camera and all the equipment for it," Anna moved slowly inside the store while the guards stood and blocked the door and the side windows with their big bodies.
"Any type in mind?" the owner asked while his smile was about to break his face.
"Ask him for that," Anna didn't even turn to Ji Hoon despite she never removed her senses from him.
She was following each step he made like she had her own radar fixed on him.
"I want..." Ji Hoon started to list a long menu of items he wanted. He even bought a tripod and a flash, plus much equipment for the open air shooting.
In fact he never wanted all of this. He only lost a camera. However he wanted now to make this mysterious lady be nervous out of the bill coming at the end.
But in fact he didn't know he just made a mistake here.
"Do you want the camera to have the satellite device like usual?" the owner casually asked before he felt tense all of sudden.
These words never missed the keen ears of Anna. She turned to glare at Ji Hoon before removing her sunglasses and calmly, yet intimately, asked:
"Satellite device..."
And Ji Hoon felt blood freeze again inside his body and he knew he made a terrible mistake acting this carelessly in front of such a predator.
