บท 181: Bedroom
Leo shook off the thought of combining his powers, he would be actively trying to but it took some time to get used to.
Right now, Leo had some other priorities such as clearing the bedroom and eliminating his target.
Up first would be clearing the bedroom.
Leo had no real idea how he was going to tackle the two guards in front.
He originally planned on using a projectile of some sort, but using his gun wouldn't work.
Well, saying Leo was completely clueless would be a lie aswell.
Leo already had somewhat of a plan, one factor that he used a lot.
Deceit.
It was such a simple factor, but extremely useful.
It pretty much always worked, although it could be risky.
After all, do you expect your friend to suddenly plunge a knife into your back?
One problem was, the area around the bedroom was high traffic, meaning Leo had to be quick, stealthy and efficient which would be pretty hard considering that he didn't know if anyone was in the room itself.
However, Leo took the gamble.
If it didn't go the way he wanted to all it meant was that he would have to rush and quickly eliminate his target.
Leo walked toward the guards with confidence.
The two guards noticed Leo and kept a close eye on him, when they noticed that he was approaching them they gripped their weapons tightly.
When Leo arrived he wanted to ask the guards something, but they cut him off.
"What do you want." asked one of the guards in a serious tone.
"Orders from the boss for you." said Leo to the guard.
The guard looked a bit confused but nodded.
"What is it?"
Leo approached to whisper something in the guard's ear.
"You're dead."
Before the guard could react, Leo shapeshifted one of his fingers into a thin yet sharp needle and stabbed the man in the back of the head.
Normally such a small injury wouldn't be able to kill, but something else was going on.
When Leo penetrated the mans skull he shapeshifted his finger once again but now into a bigger form.
Leo severed the man's brainstem and he dropped to the ground.
Before the other guard could react Leo had placed his hand on him and used his sarkic powers to cause multiple tumorous growths inside the man's body.
In the end, both of them collapsed as Leo breathed heavily.
"Damn... That sarkic stuff tends to strain you a lot..."
Leo didn't have any time to catch his breath since he could hear footsteps approaching.
The footsteps didn't sound hurried, meaning that the person wasn't coming over to rush in for help, but it did mean Leo had to hurry up.
Leo didn't worry about the bodies yet since he first had to clear the room.
Leo prepared himself and opened the door, rushing in.
As he had assumed, there was one guard in the room, but Leo completely caught him off guard.
Before the guard could react Leo had already stabbed them in the stomach, before making a elegant turn, cutting open half of the mans torso.
The guts flowed out but Leo didn't worry about it.
He quickly finished the man before opening the door to the room again, and dragging the other two bodies inside.
Leo hid the bodies out of sight before standing around the corner of the door.
The footsteps kept creeping closer and closer, until a shadow could be seen passing the room.
The footsteps stopped for a second and Leo held his breath
He prepared himself for what was coming, but it was not needed.
The man walked past the room without entering.
Leo let out a sigh of relief.
It didn't really matter that much if the man entered or not since either way he could probably take him on, but it was better this way.
Leo looked around the room.
It was an elegant room, filled with luxurious goods and interior, but most notably three bodies laying on the ground.
"Jackpot" thought Leo.
Surely the room would be filled with jewellery and who knew what else, so Leo was already happy.
He started rummaging through the room as he found a USB stick.
"This could be useful..."
