"Hey", I heard the familiar melodious voice beside me. I stiffened immediately. I don't want to fight. I thought she had taken the hint the last time we talked I just wasn't interested in speaking to her.

"Hi", I said.

"I'm sorry for the last time", she said a little quietly.

"Are you?", I asked with a raised eyebrow.

"I know I'm not in my best right now. But I promise that I'm not a jealous bitch. I just have this feeling where Lucien is concerned. It had always been there. I thought I had stopped harbouring hopeless romance for him but apparently not", she said a little embarrassed.

"It is OK. Nothing to be ashamed of. I too might have reacted badly", I replied.

"No you didn't do anything bad Mara. You have been pretty generous where me and my daughter is concerned. You have stepped away for us. If you have asked for Lucien to ditch us then he would have", she said.
