บท 68: Saving Life 68

I knew I was running a dangerous game. I have taken multiple risks already. The guards were still roaming around and it won't matter whether it was day or night it will be the same for them. I had no choice but to risk everything because Sam's cut looked infected he could end up losing his leg. When I reached the court I was cornered by a guard. I sighed and looked up at him. They all had a big build and height but only a few of them had kindness in their eyes like Sam or Lucien. I knew something was up and wondered if I was being watched.

"So when are you going to meet tonight?", asked the guard. I can't do this right now. I gently closed my eyes and thought for a few seconds. He would not have dared to talk like this if Lucien was here but he would have been safe when Lucien was with me.

" I'm going to see a doctor. I'm not well", I told him.

"If you are lying think a hundred times the doctor will be called to confirm your story", said the guard.
