After Hammam showed them their rooms, Dean and Jasem thanked him and said that they would like to stay in their rooms for a while. They both had a lot on their minds, and they needed some time to think.
Jasem lay on his bed, scrolling through the few pictures he had saved on his phone of Amanda. He wanted to take a good look at her one last time before his phone shut down like Adam's.
Tears began to well up in Jasem's eyes as the 30-second notification window appeared on his screen. He didn't want to look away from the pictures of Amanda, but he knew that he had to. There was no charger in this world, and he didn't know when he would see her again.
Jasem didn't waste a single second. He kept his eyes glued to the screen, determined to use every single moment of those 30 seconds to look at Amanda's pictures.
After the 30 seconds passed, Jasem's phone died. He stared at the black screen, his reflection distorted by the tears that streamed down his face.
"Fxck!"
Jasem threw his phone at the wall with all his might, destroying it completely. He couldn't contain himself any longer. He was angry, frustrated, and scared, and he didn't know what the future held.
Jasem buried his face in his pillow and cried himself to sleep. Tears streamed down his face, and he couldn't stop them. He was overwhelmed with emotion, and he didn't know how to deal with it.
At the other room where Dean was staying, the mood was completely different. He was feeling excited and hopeful about the future.
Dean, who had his phone plugged into a power bank, was dancing around happily listening to "Database" by Man with a Mission. He sang along with the song, his voice filling the room.
"Database Database, just living in a database, Database Database, Just say wow wow wow wow"
As Dean was happily singing along to his favorite song ever, someone started knocking on his door. He froze, his heart pounding in his chest. He knew he had messed up.
He went and opened the door slightly, and saw Hammam standing there. He was wearing his sleeping clothes, and he looked annoyed. Dean smiled nervously, only showing a small part of his face as he hid behind the door.
"Lord Dean, please lower your voice," Hammam said, his voice tired and annoyed. "We are trying to sleep here."
Dean nodded slightly, his face still hidden behind the door. He closed the door slowly, and Hammam started heading back to his room.
Dean, who knew his party was over, lay down on his bed. He looked up at the ceiling with a smile on his face. He still couldn't believe that he had been summoned to a fantasy world. He was excited to explore this new world and to see what adventures awaited him.
As he was smiling, an idea popped into his head. He remembered Oliver's words before leaving the mansion: "If you need anything, just ask Hammam."
Dean sat back up, his eyes widening in anticipation as he looked at his king-sized bed. His mouth started to water as he stood up from the bed and started heading toward the door. He couldn't wait to get back in that bed and sleep in comfort just yet.
He wanted to have some fun as he remembered he saw a few maids that was his type when they first arrived at the mansion and he planned of inviting one of them to his room to have some fun
He left the room immediately, but stopped before he could knock on Hammam's door. He didn't want to annoy him any further, so he headed downstairs instead. He went to the staff rooms, which were located beside the kitchen.
As he was walking through the dark halls of the mansion, Dean stopped suddenly when he heard his name being called from behind. He turned around, his heart pounding in his chest.
"Dean? Where are you going?" A voice called out from the darkness.
Dean looked behind him and saw Adam walking towards him. Adam had just left the library, where he had been spending the whole time looking for information about this world.
"Nothing," Dean said, looking away from Adam. "I was just feeling thirsty, so I was looking for some water." Adam knew that Dean was lying, but he didn't say anything. He knew that Dean would tell him eventually. He placed his arm around Dean's shoulders and started heading upstairs again
"You laying sack of shxt"Adam said, his voice stern. "go back to your room before I beat your ass right now." Said Adam as he knew Dean was up to no good. He noticed Dean's little Johnson was a little bit excited and started dragging him up the stairs as Dean couldn't do anything.
"Let me go!" Dean said, struggling against Adam's grip. Adam dragged him all the way to the second floor, ignoring Dean's protests.
After they arrived upstairs, Adam released Dean, who was irritated by Adam's who was cock blocking hard right now.
Dean brushed himself off and glared at Adam. "What was that all about?" he demanded.
"Do you know where my room is?" Adam asked as he ignored Dean's question. He had been at the library ever since they arrived, and he had no idea which room was his.
Dean looked at Adam and shrugged. He didn't want to help this man who had ruined his night. He opened the door to his room and went inside, leaving Adam standing there alone.
Adam stood still for a few moments, his shoulders slumped in defeat. He knew that Dean was not going to help him, so he turned and headed back downstairs. He found a couch in the hallway and lay down, closing his eyes. He was tired and frustrated, and he just wanted to sleep.
*****
The next morning, Hammam woke up early, feeling refreshed and ready to start the day. He washed his face and started getting dressed, humming a happy tune as he went about his morning routine. He knew that the Heroes would be eager to get started, so he wanted to make sure that everything was ready for them.
After he left his room, Hammam headed towards the Heroes' rooms. He knocked on each door, waking them up gently. He told them that it was time to start their day early, as they had an eventful day ahead of them.
He first knocked on Jasem's door, but it was already open. Jasem was in the shower, but he called out to Hammam and told him that he was already awake. Hammam smiled, knowing that Jasem was an energetic hero who didn't need his help to wake up.
He left Jasem's room and went to the other door, which was Dean's room. He knocked on the door, but there was no answer. He opened the door and went inside, and he saw that Dean was hugging his pillow, which was covered in his saliva. Dean was still asleep.
Hammam went to the window and opened the curtains, letting the sunlight stream into the room. The sunlight fell on Dean's face.
"Lord Dean, wake up," Hammam said, his voice gentle but firm. "Breakfast will be ready in a few minutes." Dean stirred in his sleep, but he didn't open his eyes. He turned away from the sunlight, wanting to go back to sleep.
"Please give me a few minutes, mom," Dean said, his voice muffled by the pillow he was using to cover his face. Hammam barely held himself from laughing after he heard that. He knew that Dean was still half asleep, but he needed him to wake up now.
"I'm not your mom, Lord Dean," Hammam said, trying to keep a straight face. "Please wake up. The carriage will be here in an hour." Dean opened his eyes suddenly, his heart pounding. He had forgotten where he was, and for a moment, he thought he was back home. But then he remembered that he was in a new world, and he was about to embark on an adventure.
But after he looked at the person who woke him up and saw Hammam's face, his expression changed to the worse. He had thought that the one who would wake him up that day would be a beautiful maid, but instead, he had to deal with this annoying geezer.
Dean knew how to deal with this man. He moved his bedsheets away and let go of one good air freshener, releasing a strong scent that made Hammam leave the room immediately. Hammam couldn't withstand the smell.
"Cough… Cough…, that must be one of the Heroes' powers," Hammam coughed for a little bit before he gathered himself up again. He headed toward the last room, hoping for a better experience than the one he had just had. He knocked on the door.
*knock* *knock*
He went inside after no one responded to his knock, and found that the bed was beautifully made. It looked as though no one had touched it at all. The sheets were crisp and white, and the pillows were plump and inviting.
He thought that Adam might have woken up already and was taking a shower, just like Jasem. He knocked on the bathroom door, but there was no answer. He couldn't hear any water running or any other sounds coming from the other side of the door.
He opened the door and took a look, and saw that the bathroom was exactly as he had left it the night before. The towels were neatly folded, the bathtub was empty, and there was no sign that anyone had been in there recently.
"Could he still be at the library?" Hammam wondered as he closed the door and left the room. He headed downstairs to check on how things were going, but he couldn't help but wonder where Adam was. He had thought that Adam would be back by now, but he was nowhere to be found.
As he went down the stairs, he stopped when he saw someone lying on the couch. He recognized him immediately as Adam, and he started walking towards him.
"Lord Adam, wake up, please. Breakfast will be ready in a few minutes," Hammam said. Adam opened his eyes and saw Hammam standing over him. He yawned and sat up, rubbing his eyes. He was still tired, but he knew that he had to get up and get ready for breakfast.
"Why didn't you sleep in your own room?" Hammam asked, puzzled. He knew that Adam had a comfortable bed upstairs, and he was curious to know why he had chosen to sleep on the couch instead."
"Well, I didn't know which room was mine, so I decided to sleep here until someone showed me," Adam said. Hammam remembered that Adam hadn't come with them yesterday, and he decided to show him his room now. Adam stood up and started following him."
Adam, who was walking beside Hammam, saw Jasem coming down the stairs. He stopped immediately and stood in front of Hammam, blocking his path. Jasem stopped in his tracks when he saw Adam, and the two of them stared at each other for a moment.
"Good morning," Adam said, his voice a little hesitant. Jasem responded in kind, his eyes narrowing slightly as he looked at Adam. The two of them stood there for a moment, sizing each other up
The two of them stared at each other for a few moments, neither of them sure what to say. Finally, Adam spoke up. "I'm sorry for what happened yesterday at the palace," he said. "I know I was out of line.
Jasem smiled when he heard that. He placed his hand on Adam's shoulder, knowing that Adam was feeling apologetic. "You don't need to apologize to me about that at all," he said. "Just tell me, did you find anything interesting in that library?", Jasem asked Adam who smiled brightly as he nodded to him after hearing that question.
"Yes, I did. I'll tell you all about it at the breakfast table when I come back," Adam said, smiling. He followed Hammam upstairs, eager to wash up and change his clothes. He had been sweating heavily after sleeping in the closed hall, and he was feeling disgusting. He knew that he would feel much better once he had cleaned up.
