Chapter two:
Ja-ni followed her new mentor through the hallways of the Korriban Academy, it seemed like a huge deal for a slave to enter the academy she got plenty of stares on her way. Revan took Ja-ni to her new chamber's, and was met by a young Zabrak boy, his new horn's sharpened to a point and his tribal tattoos on his face in the shape of a human skull.
Lord Revan? Who is this? The boy asked.
This is Ja-ni, my new apprentice and your roommate. Said Darth Revan. The boy looked at Ja-ni with a glare of envy.
This is Savage Opress, an acolyte and among the strongest of your age group. Darth Revan then whispered to Ja-ni. Beware of him, he is extremely dangerous with a training saber. Said Darth Revan then he left her with the Zabrak.
You think you're so special? Savage Opress said. Ja-ni looked at him and shrugged. She didn't need to answer him. You gonna answer me, freshblood? Asked Savage Opress. Ja-ni looked him in the eyes and clenched her fist. Suddenly, Savage Opress began choking and grasping at his throat, like the Stormtroopers had. At every step Ja-ni took towards him, his throat tightened up more. Suddenly Revan returned and saw Savage Opress on his knees holding at his neck.
Ja-ni! Enough! Darth Revan commanded her. Ja-ni scowled at the Zabrak, then released him. The weakened acolyte coughed and gasped for breath. She crouched down and whispered to Savage Opress.
You should thank the Force that Revan came in, or you'd be dead on the floor right now. Said Ja-ni then she spat on his horned brow and stood up, then she bowed to her master. Ja-ni, report to the duelist master, Lord Zyn, he will train you in the dark arts. Darth Revan instructed her. Here is your equipment. Said Darth Revan he handed Ja-ni a box with a practice saber, and a black cloak with a hood, and a pair of slacks and paddled boots. He expects you there shortly. Said Darth Revan. Ja-ni nodded and bowed.
Yes, my Lord, I leave immediately. Replied Ja-ni. She put on her gear and swung the practice saber around in a figure of eight, then sheathed it on her back. She proceeded down the hallway to the training room where she was greeted by an obese, elderly Sith with markings on his face. Ja-ni could feel the dark side ripping from him. He was not to be challenged. The Sith smiled and nodded.
Ah, acolyte, you must be the one Darth Revan spoke about. Said Lord Zyn. Ja-ni nodded and bowed. I am my Lord. Replied Ja-ni. He smiled and replied. Bah, I do not need to be recognized by such a title, Zyn is fine, my lordship is long expired young one. Said Lord Zyn. My master said I would come here for training. Replied Ja-ni. Zyn nodded and gestured his head.
On the other side of the room, there was a empty space, elevated slightly with a bunch of other acolytes. You are not the only one Revan has chosen, Ja-ni. Zyn said. If you want to become a Sith, you need to fight for it, then you shall receive my instruction. Said Lord Zyn. Ja-ni looked at the arena, hesitant if she was able to accomplish such a task. Remember, Zyn continued. The dark side is your ally, let your anger, your passion, your desire for survival and the title of Sith be your fuel for strength, and victory. Said Lord Zyn. Ja-ni nodded and unsheathed her weapon, then engaged the power, and headed for the arena. She would not die as a slave, she would not die an acolyte, she would live to become a Sith. May the Force protect anyone who dared stand in her way... because it's victory, or death...
