“Great. I can’t wait for our date tomorrow then. You know how much I love to eat.”
It was a lame joke, and Jensen knew that Kenta was, more likely than not, well-aware of it. However, it worked. Milo burst out laughing for quite a few minutes, and much of the tension he had been harboring for a week now appeared to be drained out of him afterward.
“Then I think we should consume as much food as possible tomorrow,” Milo suggested when he was slightly calmer.
Kenta immediately winked at Milo. “I’m one hundred percent on board with your brilliant idea.”
“No buffet,” Jensen interjected in a hurry. “I have to watch out for my figure. Not to mention my blood pressure and cholesterol level.”
Milo snorted. “Fine. It’s a deal.”
