บท 8: Chapter 8

Carlos made his way to the dresser and saw that everything was folded and in place. He smiled, though he was also a little bit uneasy that Eugenio was comfortable enough to put his underwear away, and that he had folded it so neatly. Carlos didn’t like to play into stereotypes, however this was a signal that was a bit hard to ignore. Sure, Eugenio was hired help, though he couldn’t remember any other ranch hand going this above and beyond.

Carlos was tempted to walk over to the window to see if he could find Eugenio doing chores outside, and even started inching closer to it. As he walked, Carlos spotted a picture of himself with his mother on the nightstand by his bed. He quickly changed directions and picked up the photograph.
