Back at the office,Jenny tried to focus on her work,but instead dug out her notes from the labor compliance workshop.She reached for the phone,intending to call Eric to offer the notes to Mike if he wanted them,but the phone beeped before shecould pick it up.She glanced at the caller ID and grinned.Snagging the receiver,she tucked it between her ear and shoulder and purred,“I was just going to call you.”

“Great minds think alike,”Eric joked.“What’s up?”

Leafing through the notebook in her lap,she said,“I found my notes from the workshop if Mike wants them.Since you don’t want to hook us up.”

Eric laughed,a warm sound in her ear.“Hey,I never said that.Actually,that’s why I called.”

“Oh?”Jenny felt a twinge of anticipation tingle down her spine.She’d only been kidding about hooking up with Mike.
