Ian didn’t realize he dropped his wallet until he was at the paint store in Brooklyn. The owner was more than happy to give him credit because his father had an account with them for years. He went over to Queens to check on the house, turned off some lights, and turned on some others, and then he locked up and left. Rémy had already called the security consultants, and they would come out tomorrow and install a basic system.
He arranged to have his supplies delivered on Monday morning at the job site and to pay for his materials when they arrived. He wouldn’t be able to start work until eight thirty, but he could easily make that time up now that he was going to have help.
