บท 62: Chapter 62

Marc went for Philippe’s throat when the Beta arrived at the hospital. He had to be physically restrained by Armand and Rémy.

“She cut the phone lines, Marc,” Rémy told him. “Colin couldn’t get anyone on the phone downstairs. He trusts people. If John thought she appeared official, Colin would follow his lead. He was expecting Barney’s and they were just going to drop off the tuxedos. Colin figured it would be just a minute, and she would be gone and he would be okay.” Rémy rubbed circles on Marc’s back leading him to an easy chair. Marc wouldn’t sit down.

“John said Colin had him wait to send her up so he could call the Betas’ apartment, but they didn’t answer. He told the police that Colin knew he was sick so rather than make John wait until Colin could speak to Philippe, Colin told John he should go home, and he took the delivery himself.” Armand pushed on his shoulders and got Marc to sit.
