The intangible soul pressure from Raymond's attack made the trees in their surroundings sway. The sword energy travelled in an illusory trajectory at a speed inconceivable for most spirit-refining cultivators. The tiger didn't have the time to slow down and dodge, and could only brace itself for the attack. Raymond knew that he had no way of killing the tiger right now, so the attack was aimed at the tiger's legs.
The sword energy pierced through the tiger's left front leg and continued going. The energy from the attack travelled through the air and hit the tiger's back left leg as well, going deep enough to injure its muscles slightly. The tiger roared in pain and anger and got ready to attack Raymond again, but this time, the spiritual energy in the surroundings started fluctuating madly. Raymond had no plans to face the tiger head-on, and after his attack had successfully injured the tiger's mobility, Raymond quickly got up on his feet and ran away.
