บท 36: TO PICK YOU
My pregnancy had many effects on my life now. It's been 4 months since I got pregnant. My belly was round and shiny. And Xavier loved me in the shape. I stayed healthy and sometimes sneakily ate things Xavier had told me not to.
It's 7 in the morning right now, and I am scheduled to walk with Noah, so I leave Xavier sleeping as it is Sunday today. I meet Noah at the foot of the stairs.
"Morning, dude" I said, surprised he was on time.
"Morning, Ana" he said putting his had over my shoulder and making me walk with him towards the the entrance.
"Are you trying to get all your weight on me, so you don't have to work hard?" I ask teaing.
"Maybe..."
"Alright now, get serious, we'll walk more today."
"Why!?"
"Because, you didn't come to walk yesterday"
"Is this school or something, do yesterday's hw today!?" he asked making faces.
"Yeah" I said chuckling.
"No...please....forgive me...I'll be regular now"
"Only if you get me a sandwich from the xx mall"
"Okay sure"
We walk to the mall nearby, it has my favorite shop that sells my fav sandwich. Xavier strictly warned me not to eat them, but when did I and Noah listen to him?
When we reached the mall, I asked Noah to go inside the mall and get the sandwich for me. While sat in the mall garden. We already walked for an hour, it'll be an hour more before I can kiss Xavier.
Suddenly, Leo walked to me out of nowhere.
"Hi Leo"
"Hi"
Something wasn't right, his face, his expression.
"What are you doing here?" I asked ignoring my thoughts.
"To pick you"
"What!?"
Before I could speak something, he covered my nose with a black napkin, and the next thing I remember is everything going black, and I being dragged.
XAVIER
My phone rung beside on the side table. I picked it up.
"Bro..."
It was Noah, he sounded horrified and scared.
"What!?" I woke up.
"Ana"
"WHAT!? WHAT HAPPENED TO HER!???"
"She....she's kidnapped"
"WHAT ARE YOU FUCKING SAYING!? DON'T YOU DARE JOKE WITH ME ON THIS!"
"No...I went to get sandwich...and she...I saw he r being dragged into the van by..."
"BY WHO!?? WHERE ARE YOU!?"
"By...by Leo"
I felt a pang of shock and something else I couldn't figure out. I thought he had been weird these months but ignored it. He continuously asked about Ana, and I said everything to him. How could he!?
"Where the fuck are you!?'
"XX mall"
I drove, nearly flied to the XX mall. Noah was sitting on a bench with his head in his hands.
"Where did they take her?"
"I'm sorry, it's all my fault...I shouldn't have..."
"No time to waste Noah...and it's not your fault. Now tell me where he took her!? Which side!?"
"There" he said standing up and pointing towards the road that went straight to the woods.
I got into my car and raced towards the forest. I asked Noah to get back and inform dad and mom, and go straight to the police.
