Death does not concern us, because as long as we exist, death is not here. And when it does come, we no longer exist. - Epicurus
Leveling my shoulders, I step toward Lumen. She grabs hold of my arm, dragging me toward the door. Vihaan kneels down next to Bodhi.
"Move," Lumen commands, shoving the gun in my ribs.
We make our way down the long winding hallway. "It was you, wasn't it?" My heart sinks. I swallow a lump in my throat. "The murders of my family members, you were there. I can feel it."
"They were not your family." She stops, then shoves me against a stone wall. "Now, climb to the top."
Gripping the embedded bar above my head, I climb up the wall. When I reach the top, the portal opens. I'm yanked through the opening by one of John Spencer's men and taken to the pod bay.
'Get in the pod.' Lumen's voice resonates in my mind.
I shake my head. "No, I won't do it."
'Do not make me hurt you.'
