Our party enters the cave of the pig-bat king, and are incredibly whelmed.
Markus: So, so whel- so whelming.
The cave bares down and we are assaulted by the smell of mold. Somehow the environment maintains its illumination, despite the fact that it should be pitch dark.
Ashe: I- I still can't figure it out. I still don't know how they do it...
Markus: The mold smell, or the illumination?
Ashe: Oh no, I know how they do the mold smell; they come in here every other week or so, and just kind of give everything a light misting? Uh yeah, the mold, the mold really takes care of itself.
Markus: Mushrooms tend to do that.
Ashe: Yeah, but no, but the lights. The lights, I just don't...I don't get it!
Markus: It's peculiar...
Marcus: Well! Let's try to get to the bottom of this. I assume that the monster we are meant to fight is toward the back of the cave.
Ashe: Uh...Maybe...There's a false back.
As you enter the uh.. the wide open area of the mine, you hear a bizarre sound echoing from behind the walls.
Unknown Voice: Brave adventurers of Meadshire! Who dare venture into the lair of the Pig-Bat king...*Mumbles quietly* Meadshire is a subsidy area of the Alaran Empire all rights reserved. YOU DARE FACE THE TRIALS of this FORGOTTEN MINE?!
Gregor: It depends what you mean by "trials". Are there sheep in here? Because no...
Markus: Send whatever trials you may have at us! We will QUASH them!
Ashe: *sighs*
Unknown Voice: Excellent!
The FORGOTTEN SOLDIERS of the Aleron Empire, HEAD MY CALL! DEPLOY THE SKELETONS!
From the wall, you see a bizarre white shape flying towards you, *skeletal clatter* flopping about, *skeletal clatter* at HIGH speeds!
It slams into the ground, slides along the floor immediately in front of you,
hits the wall, and SHATTERS.
Markus: Huh...
Ashe: Hey, that one made it out in one piece this time.
Markus: Some sort of skeleton projectile...?
Markus: Well...
Markus: It would appear we are victorious!
Unknown Voice: WAIT, wait no we got more skeletons! You're suppose to...Suppose to- Fight- fight the s...They're gone aren't they? They're leaving...Oh...
Unknown Voice: Please come back...
Markus: I feel kind of bad for the people working the jobs at this...
Ashe: Don't.
Markus: twisted b--
Ashe: Don't. Don't. Look, there are too many people working here to feel bad for each and every one of them. You start now, and you're just going to be feeling bad for the rest of your life.
Alexander: I'm with Ashe here trust me these people who work here suck I'm only working here because I got duped into a contract by the Aleron empire
To the right, is a sign that is labelled "Lair of the Pig-Bat King, BEWARE!" To the left there is a sign that says "Keep out! NOT lair of the Pig-Bat King! Seriously, KEEP OUT! DON'T GO IN HERE, C'MON!"
Markus: Oh, I've got to see this.
Ashe begins to pull Marcus away from the right pathway wanting to quickly kill this monster
Markus: No, I-
Ashe: It's this way, guys.
Markus: Just taking a peek.
Ashe: N-No, Markus.
Markus: at the pig-bat king...
Markus: I-I'm-- I'm really curious if you guys just taped a bat to a pig...
Gregor: I wanna see the Pig-Bat King!
Markus: ...or if it's a bit more elaborate than that...
Ashe: Markus.
Markus: Was it-- Oh?
Ashe: I told you, he's--he's not "up" right now.
Markus: This is--
Ash : If he was "up"...I-I--
Every time Ashe says 'up' she put her hands in the air and does finger quotes
Ashe: He's not "up", they haven't thrown him out of the walls. Look, see? There's NOTHING here. If the Pig-Bat King was "up" right now, there would be some, uhh... Some idiot running around yelling about, "OH NO, THE PIG-BAT KING HAS RETURNED FROM HIS HUNDRED THOUSAND YEAR SLUMBER TO LAY WASTE TO THE COUNTRYSIDE!"
From behind the walls you hear an echo
Voice: "Yeah, so you tell'm Ashe! We're on break right now! Yeah!"
*Someone chuckles*
Marcus begins to try and determine from which direction those voices came from seemingly only realizing now there are voices coming from the walls
Marcus determines the voices can from immediately behind himself and walk over to Knock on the wall there
*Knocking sound* It is clearly hollow
Markus attempts to find a trapdoor he can open
There is no trapdoor, the point of entry is clearly not from within the mine
Alex: ya the entrance to the UnderShire is elsewhere.
Markus: Hm...
Markus: Well.
Markus: It's--It's a SHIT lair anyways!
Markus: Let's get on with it.
Ashe: It is...wait UnderShire?
Gregor: There's nothing cool in this caave.
Ashe: There's nothing cool in MEADSHIRE.
Ashe almost instinctively reminds the group forgetting about the "UnderShire"
The group pass rolls and rolls of parchment displaying "KEEP OUT! STAY AWAY!"
Markus begins gathering up some of the rolls of paper, folding it up, and putting it in his bag.
*paper crinkling*
Markus: That'll have its usefulness.
There's a lot of paper, it's clearly been torn down, and trodden upon multiple times
Ashe: *sighs*
Markus: After you, Ashe, Alex, Gregor.
Gregor: Awaaay! WHOOAA!
