In Averna's office,

"Why the shocked expressions?" With a slight chuckle, Averna spun gleefully in her swivel Aston chair.

"M- ma'am?" Eileen called out to her boss, her voice ringing with worry. "Please reconsider your decision for both of their sakes."

"Tch-" She scoffed and sat cross-legged, leaning back in her chair.

"I don't think I would be able to do that," she whispered with a lighthearted expression. "This particular amount of money is not enough to give up the rest of his life; money does wonders."

"Damian, Lance. Do have a great evening. I would be expecting you at the party by eight o'clock. I don't tolerate tardiness well unless you are female, which you both clearly aren't. She spoke before her screen went black.
