Eveam reminisced about her past when she met Judom. Teckil felt that this was not the time to be nostalgic, so he reminded Eveam.
"Your Majesty!"
"Ah sorry."
"Your Majesty, you shouldn't say sorry too much! It doesn't suit your title as a demon lord." Izumi reminded her. He continued.
"When it comes to Xaos being attacked, you don't have to worry."
"I know, Aquinas and Ornoth are guarding the capital. But I'm worried because there could be a lot of casualties." Eveam nodded.
Izumi raised his index finger.
"Have Your Majesty forgotten about Hiiro?" Izumi said with a smile.
"Ah! I just remembered that I signed a contract with him to guard Xaos." Eveam lit her eyes up in realization. She had completely forgotten about it if Izumi didn't remind her. Teckil and Kiria were confused about the person who had a contract with Eveam. They wonder, who was that person who could get the attention of a demon lord?
Meanwhile, Judom felt familiar after hearing "Hiiro" from Izumi. He seemed to have heard it before, but he forgot where he heard it from.
"Your Majesty, if I may ask, who is Hiiro?"
The one asking was Teckil, he wondered who Hiiro was. Eveam told him everything, starting when she met Hiiro and Izumi also knew Hiiro pretty well because they were from the same tribe.
"Your tribe? Is he an Oni that was mentioned when we were at the border bridge?" Teckil turned to Izumi.
"Yep. Except for me and Aquinas, all the members of the Cruel Brigade won't be able to defeat him."
With Izumi's words, not only Eveam and Teckil, even Judom and Kiria were surprised. However, Kiria didn't change her expression at all. Undeniably, the existence of a threat that she did not know made her a little annoyed.
Teckil smiled while looking at Eveam.
"To think that Your Majesty forged a contract with such a powerful person."
But Eveam asked Izumi in surprise.
"He's that strong?"
This baffled Teckil.
"Eh, Your Majesty didn't know?"
Eveam shook her head.
"Don't worry, with Hiiro's around, Xaos will be safe." Izumi said confidently.
Eveam didn't think that Izumi trusted Hiiro's power that much. Eveam said,
"I only know that he has a great amount of magical power. But I didn't know that his power could surpass that of all members of the Cruel Brigade. But what's surprising again, Izumi, your words just now seemed to say that your strength is on par with Aquinas." Then, Eveam turned to Izumi.
"If it's not, how could Aquinas let me guard you, Your Majesty?" Izumi only replied with a smile. Then, Eveam nodded.
"Make sense."
Confirmed that Izumi's strength was on par with Aquinas making Kiria feel that she had been deceived and started to be careful with Izumi.
At that moment, Izumi raised his index finger.
"Ah, I forgot something too. The heroes we met at the border bridge were fake. The real ones might have arrived at Xaos. This stupid king had purposely assigned heroes to Xaos so that if they died in battle, he could incite the Humas race to have them participate in destroying Evila. So perfect. *Clap* *clap* I'll give you a round of applause, King Rudolph."
Izumi chuckled while clapping. Indeed, Rudolph's scheme was pretty good and it wouldn't have happened if the heroes weren't so stupid.
Apart from Teckil, everyone else was dumbfounded while looking at Rudolph who changed his expression as he didn't seem to expect that one Evila to know about his plan. Kiria's eyes changed. If Izumi found out about the fake heroes, he could also find out about the movements of her organization. She felt that Izumi was too dangerous to be left alive. She should kill him before it's too late.
Seeing Rudolph's expression which seemed to acknowledge what Izumi said, Eveam couldn't accept what Rudolph had done, she said.
"I don't know why you're doing all of this, King of Humas race!? Do you really want to start a war and refuse to make peace?"
As if he didn't care if his plan had been discovered by Izumi or didn't care how Izumi called him stupid, Rudolph answered.
"How foolish of you, the demon lord Eveam. If Evila is exterminated, peace will come naturally. As long as there is Evila, the world—"
"You are an idiot, are you? Peace will only last for a while. In a world where there are intelligent beings, war is bound to happen. Whether it's a war between different races or a civil war."
Izumi interrupted Rudolph's words with a stern voice.
The minister who was next to Rudolph didn't like Izumi who suddenly interrupted his king.
"Know your position demon! Who do you think you're talking to?"
Izumi who was listening to the minister suddenly looked around him. He nodded and said.
"I'm talking to him, minister!!" Izumi replied by pointing at Rudolph.
Everyone was dumbfounded at Izumi who acted like a foolish person. Izumi's words angered the minister which made him clench his fists and look at Izumi full of hostility.
"I don't know how stupid the King of Humas is. If they could win the war, it was true that there would be peace after Evila was eradicated. I'll tell you a story, the heroes came to the realization that they were being taken advantage of after they almost got killed over and over. Then, the change happened to the lead of the heroes. His nature turned dark and turned vicious because one of the heroes died in his arms, and the dying hero was his lover. What's more, the dead hero gave a final message to him to destroy the human race because, not only the human king summoned and used them as a tool. He also betrayed them. Haha, that might be such a wonderful story!"
Izumi told the story about the heroes who would realize that humans were so rotten to the bone.
"It was just a parable, there was no way such a thing would happen!" Rudolph said sarcastically.
"Nothing is impossible. If you say it's impossible, then you've never seen it, right?" Izumi shook his head in disagreement with what Rudolph said.
"Have you ever seen that?"
"Even if I told you, would you believe what I said? Definitely not, would you?"
Izumi sneered at Rudolph. Then, he turned his head to Eveam and asked.
"Anyway, Your Majesty, do you want to get out of here?"
"But, Judom said we wouldn't be able to get out if there was no hero relic."
"Just this puny barrier? It won't be able to stop me, Your Majesty. Just leave it to me!"
Izumi smiled at Eveam, then he looked at the barrier while activating his magic destabilization. The structures and runes that activated the barrier began to fade, and some of them changed shape. Izumi wanted to hide the fact he could destroy any magic or formation with just one look. So, Izumi just tweaked the formation a little bit. Because he thought it was enough, Izumi took his sword from his storage space. Everyone was surprised by the sword that suddenly appeared in Izumi's hand. Some even asked.
"How could you hide your weapon?"
"Isn't carrying weapons prohibited in this place?"
But Izumi ignored them.
Izumi swung his sword and split the barrier into two.
*Crack* *Shatter*
The barrier shattered into pieces.
Everyone was dumbfounded. Even Teckil, who understood Izumi's strength six months ago, couldn't help but feel amazed.
Rudolph let out a low voice unconsciously.
"Impossible!"
The barrier that was expected to be impenetrable and indestructible apart from using the hero's relic, was utterly crushed in Izumi's hands.
Head priestess, Judom, and Eveam sighed in relief. They wanted to ask Izumi how he did that, but now was not the time to ask.
Portnis was outraged at Rudolph. She said,
"Rudolph, although you were our counsel and friend, how can you calmly perform something so dirty in the Holy Oldine? Do you have anything to say about it? You are definitely not qualified to be a king!"
Rudolph snorted at the priest's words and turned his head towards Izumi.
"How the hell did you do that? There's no way you can destroy a barrier without a hero's relic."
Izumi pretended not to hear and said to Eveam.
"Let's head outside Your Majesty!"
Eveam nodded and took a step to get out of the sacred room. Rudolph, the minister, and the five guards also came out of the sacred room after Eveam.
After everyone came out, Eveam coldly said to Rudolph.
"King of Victorias, care to explain why you did such a thing?"
"Hehe, why should I tell you, demon lord? Although this certainly differs from the scenario I have planned out. I have anticipated this could happen."
Not panicking because his plan failed, he just chuckled instead. Everyone thought that Rudolph had gone mad.
